I meant bundesliga as a whole and Dortmund chasing Bayern. Bremen is in there too I suppose.

Dortmund despite being a club in the western industrial part of the country is extremely popular in the east.

Lifelong TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. My grandpappy stormed the Heidelberg castle during WW2 and saved a player that played there.

Southampton Saints. First New Orleans Saints game I was probably 5 years old. I am a casual soccer fan and just so happened to be watching them play one day and the crowd started singing 'When the Saint's go marching In'. I was hooked after that. Now I follow them on line and watch when I can. Hopefully make a trip one day to St. Mary's stadium.
I like that they struggle to not get regulated. Reminds me of the early NO Saint's days. Hopefully they do well this year.
Go SAINT"S !!

You will have to explain that one. Not savvy to that, is it a put down?
Sorry for my soccer innocence

Van Dijk, Mane, Lovren, Lallana, and Clyne all came to Liverpool by way of Southampton

Ok I get it now. So they kind of buy their championships by raiding the lower teams players.

Well, that’s what most clubs do to some extent...takes two to tango though. Liverpool can’t buy if Southampton isn’t willing to sell.

What championships did they buy?

Have no clue, I am just a casual fan when it comes to soccer. I was just trolling a bit. Be cool man , you sound like a Yankee fan
So who is the famous club over the years that seems to buy their way up the ladder?

Yankees partner in crime...Manchester City. Buying championships with sovereign oil money. Liverpool has never won the Premier League.

Man City generally has that reputation. Chelsea used to have it as well, think it’s faded a bit.

Chelsea used to work that, but the turnstile culture is coming home to roost. Can’t keep a coach and the players are malcontents...winning recipe that is.

Are you comparing the Yankees and City? Come on, bro. The Yankees have history, everyone knows City does not.
