Rules question: is it offside of the ball is already past the last defender?
You can;t play the ball if you're past the second to last defender (that includes the GK - so its easier to think of this as the last field player). Tie goes to the attacking player.

Kroos normally buries those, weak side foot attempt

Germany are dirtier than I imagined.

As long as the player isn't ahead of the ball.

Also, this.

Watching Lavezzi dive all over the pitch makes me want them to lose even more. Messi is a god, but Argentina is painful to watch.
At least, they're attacking, though.

I'm not sure why you guys let the soccer haters and trolls goad you so easily. The analogies to other sports are unnecessary. Explain the reason for the rule and ignore the trolling. The sarcasm and anger just come off as insecurity and anger.

Wow the defense only allowed that one shot...

Germany have been dirty for a long time.

Ozil finally did something
I sense he's been disappointing. Has he ever played like this on arsenal?

While Argentina are the better side thus far, Germany is able to catch the Argentinian backline napping and create solid enough chances.

This is a fantastic game. Different styles, but both have been dangerous.
This is how you defend and counter without purely bunkering.

Great half in every way. Both teams playing well, no bus-parking, good refereeing, minimal diving. I'm surprised and happy with that half.

Lots of solid chances....can't believe it is still 0-0

You're probably right. I'm not a big follower. Just imagined them to be emotionless drones instead of the trolls they appear to be.
