Impressed with Corsair RAM warranty

I recently had a RAM stick fail. It was four years old. I figured whatever, it may be time to upgrade. Ha! Dumbass me had not kept up with RAM prices. Holy shite, y'all! I was not ready for those numbers. Like, I had heard they went up, but I had no idea they had gone up that much. I remember the days of building computers and RAM costs being something you didn't worry about.
I saw Corsair had a limited lifetime warranty on RAM. I chatted with their chatbot, told them how I diagnosed the bad RAM, got my warranty claim approved, shipped the RAM back to Corsair, and then received my new RAM. Pretty painless. I didn't have a working computer for a couple of weeks while I waited on the replacement, but it was better than spending $400 for something I paid $125 for several years back.
What I found ironic about the whole situation was that I used Claude to help me troubleshoot the initial problem and Claude was also the thing that recommended me look at the Corsair warranty, only for me to turn around and bitch about memory prices because of AI

The kit I bought about a year ago is up 5x what I paid for it. $400 then, $2k now!
I haven't had RAM fail (in a PC, as opposed to a data center server) in probably 25 years. That said, nearly all of the majors (Crucial, G.Skill, etc) have the same lifetime warranty.

G.skill has a great lifetime warranty too. I have also been dealing with this. The RMA approval was super simple. Didn't even require original receipt. I had sent off the old ram and got the new ram in 7 days total. I had to pay shipping to them but that was it. $10 shipping beat $250 for new ram.

I'd never had RAM fail before either. I think I've had everything else fail before
Good to know about the other brands. I was kind of surprised at the warranty. Not many things come with a lifetime warranty anymore.

After the 2016 floods in Baton Rouge, I reached out to all the manufacturers of my gaming PC parts. Corsair was the only one to respond with "We are very sorry for your loss, we have your replacement in the mail."

Uh, the warranties are for manufacturer defects. What did you expect XFX or whomever to do about your GPU?
And sorry, I'm grabbing my NAS and maybe my PC directly after our passports and birth certificates (critical docs) before I grab anything else. And a woobie. Always have use for a woobie. Never medication, need the NAS and the woobie.

I was 17 years old at the time and placed the PC at the top of my closet because I woke up with 1 foot of water already in my house.
I had a NVIDIA 1070 SUPER in it.
