So this might be a noob question, but does this watch actually make and receive phone calls? As in, when you start a new contract with your provider can this be your "phone" or does this just work together with your phone?

I still don't understand the market for smart watches... Just seems like a frivolous device. You still have to carry your phone? I just don't get it.

I think it works with your phone.
No audio input output from what I see. Not to mention it would look silly.
Its nice for when you get a text and you can glance at your wrist to see if it is worth the bother of getting your phone out.

FYI, the price hasn't been announced yet. We are just guessing based on the demo, Apple's pricing habits, etc.
