I have a 4S, but this is the same train of thought for me. My wife, on the other hand, doesn't think she'll like the larger phone and is considering just going with the 5S.

I've never had a battery life issue. It lasts all day. Plug in at night or in the car. But I see your point.

Because in 2 years, as apps get more intensive, they'll use up more memory, freeze/crash more frequently, and slow the performance of the phone. We're talking 64-bit now, too which makes a big difference.
