Resetting fire tv with no remote?

Remote doesn’t work for fire tv. Have been using the app on phone for remote. Wiped unit with full restart and now can’t get past the remote pairing portion of startup. App uses wifi to connect and I can’t get to wifi setup.

You're screwed. Just buy a new fire stick. About the same price as a new remote.

Can you try pairing a bluetooth PS4/5 or XBox controller to it?

My sons tv did this a few weeks ago. His power button only would work on the remote. Looked on Amazon and there a reset process where you unplug for x amount of time, take out batteries in remote for x amount of time, put batteries back in, plug tv back in, hold certain buttons on remote, and it repaired without any issues.

I can’t get to that point because I’m hung up on the initial startup process after a hard reset on the box with no remote to proceed.

There is a way to reset the remote to allow it reset or resynch with tv

I am currently dealing with a similar problem, except I was having issues with the remote, and tried unpairing it, but now it wont re-pair. I found a remote app that worked, but once the firestick recognized I wanted to connect a new "remote" I need to hit OK....which I cant without an already connected removed 
so I bought a new firestick...but good news is that it was only a few months old so Amazon is paying me back
