Went back 10 plus pages and never really saw a post meeting the criteria. Looking for 3 day get away from AUS via SWA in mid-December, cold weather, light snow is a plus. Not skiers, moderate hikers. We did Estes / Winter Park a few years back in same time frame and it was perfect but want somewhere similar but different. Not interested in Vail, Breck, ie, ski resort towns. TIA. I can research tomorrow on our flight to Hawaii

Santa Fe, Taos, Angel Fire New Mexico. Southwest flies to Albuquerque which isn’t a bad drive to any of those places

Zero parts of Michigan sound cool in mid December

Been to Bend a log time ago, before it became popular. Tahoe is up near the top of the list, do you prefer North over South? From my research I think we'd lean toward north which would lead to driving in from Reno I assume.
Thanks
Thanks
