Spent the week in Disney. At least 25,000 people on top of each other to watch fireworks, then everyone exits the park and has to put on a mask to board a bus. It’s quite amazing to witness

Was hoping the masks would get squashed as I'm about to take 5 flights within the next 2 weeks but oh well. Plan is to bring a big water bottle, leave it on my lap or tray table and I know the FAs will leave me alone. It also helps sitting in the exit rows in the windows to hide a bit.

Just chew sunflower seeds. Nothing gets a point across on the stupidity of a “regulation” like spitting shells into a water bottle as an acceptable reason you don’t need to follow the “regulation”

We are flying to Paris next Friday and masks are not required in the airport, just the planes

Guess they are just more stringent with the vaccination process

I was planning an Oregon trip in the second week of June. I have zero confidence the mandate will have dropped by then.

Decided frick it. Made reservations this morning and I'm road tripping through North Carolina and Kentucky. Blue Ridge parkway, Asheville breweries, Churchill Downs, and Bourbon Trail here I come.

The mandate was dropped today by federal judge.

Biden Admin will fight this tooth and nail. They will threaten airlines to keep it in place and seek an injunction.

I don’t think. It was already expiring in a few weeks. This shite is over.

Its been supposed to expire on several occasions (including TODAY), but just keeps getting arbitrarily extended.

My mom is flying to South Carolina tomorrow on Delta and called the customers service agent this evening and confirmed masks will not be required.

She is ecstatic .

Are you sure? I'm on a delta flight tonight and another tomorrow morning, but everything I'm reading online says they're complying with TSA directives

I was very skeptical as well. She saw about the federal judge striking the mandate down this afternoon and called delta hoping for good news and the person she talked too said it wasn’t required

I guess she will find out tomorrow if that news has made its way to the flight crews for enforcement

I can provide an update in about 4-5 hours

Eta:Found the link on Delta's news hub
LINK

American, Alaska, Frontier, JetBlue, Southwest, and United are also mask optional

Eta: Update from the Seattle airport. Took a parking shuttle, checked in with delta agents, went through TSA, and have walked around the terminal with no mask on. Would say 75% of people are still wearing masks, not sure if it's because people don't know or if they're scared. Next up is the flight and I know I'm clear there

This is awesome. Now let's just drop the stupid testing requirements to return back to the US.

Yep. Flew Southwest today and masks were optional. Half the plane still had on masks.

A certain demographic will continue to dutifully wear them based on my observations around town.
