Just a heads up for anyone that booked summer flights. Looks like a few of the airlines (Delta, Southwest, United) are updating their July-September flight schedules today. Keep an eye out over the next few days to see if your reservations update to the new flight schedules.

Got hit by one for NYC-Salt Lake-Seattle. Originally over an hour connection in Salt Lake, now down to 36 minutes on the last flights of the day . Trying to work with Delta on getting this fixed to either a longer layover or one of the nonstops but having to push back a little as they want more $$$ for fixing this reservation.

ETA: They wouldn't budge. Said that "this is a married reservation so she could assure me that I won't miss this 36 minute connection. For married reservations terminals are set close to the next flight or though they have different gates, they are located in the same terminal. Since Delta changed my flight, Delta also assures that I won't miss the connecting flight".

someone clearly hasn't flown on an evening flight from JFK before

Yeah I got one for Delta. But luckily it was for my first leg being moved to an earlier departure.

Added Southwest to the OP . Glad it wasn't that long of a change

That is all I wanted today. There's an earlier JFK-SLC flight that would give a 2.5 hour layover which would have been perfectly acceptable after this change but nope not an option. I'll try my luck with airport agents over the next few weeks of travel and see if they can fix this.

Normally when delta changes my flight they let me reschedule it within like a 48 hour window or so and will issue a credit if I can find a cheaper option
