Arizona Snowbowl in April

I have a buddy getting married in Scottsdale the first weekend in April. We were thinking about piggybacking off that and spending a couple of days skiing at Snowbowl right after.
Has anyone been this time of year? Unfortunately we would be there on a Saturday and Sunday. Is it late enough in the year where the crowds won't suck? Has anyone stayed at Basecamp? How easy/convenient is it to get to the lifts from there?
Any info at all is appreciated.

Would need a miracle for conditions to be half way decent…. They can have temps well into the 70s up there that time if year

Snowbowl closed last season on June 1 and was open Memorial Day weekend. Flagstaff gets way more snow in the spring than winter. This season has sucked balls and the base is nowhere near what it was last season. Even if the mountain is open of course not all the runs or trails might be open. But first week in April you should be able to get up and get some turns in. I don’t think the crowds will be awful because unless it’s a pow day the locals will all be riding mountain bikes in Sedona or playing golf rather than skiing.
Edited to add: if Basecamp is the bunch of motel trailers at the bottom of the hill on Fort Valley, they ain’t luxurious but you are right there. Still have to drive all the way up Snowbowl Road.

I’ve been to Flagstaff in April. There was snow on the ground in the shade but it was melted in the sun. I guess it just depends.
