Anyone going? Anything off the beaten trail that I can’t miss? I hear it’s a great time to be there

on the way before vail you can turn off on to shrine pass road if it’s open. Beautiful drive and it will dump you out in red cliff. If you have a few days a drive thru basalt/aspen area is worth it. Tons of stuff to do obviously in vail area. See if there’s a show at the ford amphitheater

Grew up in Avon, best fireworks in the state! Bring some blankets find you a spot around the pond or the soccer field early in the evening. They have food trucks and live music most of the day leading up to the big show.
We'll be in Breckenridge Friday, and will be driving down for the show.
Vail has a fun little parade on the 4th.
The drive thru Glenwood Canyon (I-70) is really cool, keep an eye out for Bighorn sheep up on the hills as you are coming out to the canyon. If you want to make a day trip out of it keep on going around to Aspen...Maroon Bells is amazing.
Piney River Ranch in the hills above Vail is a cool dirt road drive to a little mountain lake, if you have a truck or SUV.
Gotta hit up Beaver Liquors if for nothing other than the photo op
