Looking at August or early September to travel (wife will be 6-7 months at that time). Will be our first kid, so not sure how she will be feeling.. we typically enjoy hiking and outdoors activities but thinking this will have to be scaled back and way more sedentary
Any good ideas traveling from New Orleans/MSY? Would like to avoid 2-3 connecting flights and 10+ hrs on plane/airport.

I’m going to Sedona in August. Direct flight to Phoenix which is nice. Only drawback is a 2 hour car ride to Sedona.

Maybe a road trip where you can make frequent stops? Blue Ridge Pkwy etc.

I went to Hawaii for our baby moon. Lots of food and time places to relax.

6-7 months is generally the "best" time of the pregnancy as far as comfort... but things can turn in an instant.
What about something easy, like New Hampshire / Maine? That's also the kind of trip that a young child would not appreciate.

We visited San Francisco then drove north to Humboldt State Park to see the redwood forest. Nice drive along the coast with plenty of places to stop. I believe there's still non-stop flights MSY-SFO on United.
