If you have to connect in ATL with Delta, do Delta. They fly a big plane on that short flight, 757 I think, because it is one of their busiest.

If you don’t care, go by price, schedule and connections.
It’s a short distance.

Overall time of the connection is what I'd go by here. Nola to Atlanta to Jacksonville is quick, Nola to Houston to Jacksonville you have to backtrack a bit. I'd probably go delta here

When I made that flight a couple years ago Southwest was the best option. i know that's not part of your either/or question but figured I would mention there is another option you may want to consider.

Consider Southwest or JetBlue. Both should offer nonstop flight options.

If you don't care how you get there and aren't packing much, go with the cheapest price. Spirit might be an option. 90 minute flight so you will be there rather quickly.

Breeze flies a nonstop from Nola to Jacksonville. I’ve never flown them yet but I’ve heard good things
