Going to Kathmandu for an Everest trip in April,,,,,,,I have a 7hr layover in Dubai. Couple questions,,,,,should I stay in the airport or can I leave and go back through security after making a hot lap of the city OR is there a few things to do inside the airport to kill time?

The Dubai airport is very nice. It's loaded up with high end shopping and restaurants. Spending several hours at the airport there is far better than several hours in ATL

The couple times that I was flying out of there, it was a mess and took forever to get through security. That + Dubai traffic and I wouldn't think it would be worth it.

If you have lounge access I would just hang out there and relax/nap. Otherwise I'd look into doing something snce 7 hours is a ton of time to spend in an airport.

I rented a hotel room for 12 hours last time I was at that airport. Shower and great sleep was worth it. Free food and booze was also nice.
