It idiotic and gubment stupidity. Covid stupidity carryover that the gub workers love because its less work for them. Get paid the same, much less work by screwing the taxpayers.

AllTrails can filter on offroad trails. My humble advice, stick to easy trails. Most of those are paved or at worst maintained. Intermediate starts getting a little iffy and can make a long day if you don’t have recovery gear.

Not sure how well it would work with your itinerary, but we want to do this one day. It’s not in Estes; it’s in the Ouray/Silverton area.

I've done Engineer pass and its awesome but very far in the southwest corner of the state. We are going to stick to the Denver area this go around.
