I’m looking into planning a family vacation to the keys for Thanksgiving or New years but water temp is 70-74* on average which is barely swimmable, especially for kids.
Anyone been during those times? Shooting for Thanksgiving because it looks to be slower/ cheaper and the water would be warmer. Would probably drive and stay for 8-10 days and boat for 3-5 I’m thinking.

I love Key West and there is a lot to do there other than swim. In fact I would put the beach way down on the list of reasons to go there. The nicest beach is the one next to the fort. It is fine but it pales in comparison to some of the other Florida beaches.
Great place for a vacation though.

Sorry, yeah I’m not worried about the beach. I wanted to snorkel, lobster, fish, boat, etc.
