ETA: And BA... No. Never. No. Their IT and Terminal 5 issues notwithstanding, a Brit friend flies over family members a couple of times a year, and has not had one positive thing to say about that airline in over a decade

As outdated as my plane was, it’s been quite a pleasant experience. The BA lounge at Dulles is nice, smooth flight, T5 at Heathrow was a breeze, and I’m sitting in the arrivals lounge now enjoying a latte while I wait for a shower suite.

Fortunately I’m not connecting, otherwise I’m certain they would lose my luggage, as, for some reason, BA is prone to do

I’ve flown the BA Dreamliner between MSY and LHR more than a few times. Last flight was in June in the new biz class seating. Was an outstanding flight all around, seat, service, food, and snack bar improvements.

My last time there, we got warned to use the lav before getting off the plane, as all bathrooms in the terminal were broken. Thousands of people inbound, with kids, and 2.5 hours to get through immigration. JFK smells like myriad 3rd world countries, but the level of ineptitude LHA repeatedly displays, including that incident, are stupefying.

Ah, the German’s problem is the American plane.

Boeing, a case study in poor decision making.

The airline picks the seats and their configuration.
