As we all remember those who have fallen, we should also be prepared for the upcoming absolute shite show of a travel day tomorrow.
For anyone flying across the country, be prepared for a long day. Severe thunderstorms from Chicago to Nashville (currently happening), storms tomorrow morning in Atlanta, and storms the entire day from Charlotte up to Boston tomorrow mid morning through the evening. Flights today have had to route all the way up through Minneapolis or as far south as south Carolina before being able to go east/west. There are airline travel waivers for the northeast tomorrow, but given how today is turning out they may expand the dates and the airports. I'm trying to beat this mess and catch a 6am flight instead of my original 3:30pm flight. If you need any help with rebooking tomorrow please feel free to post here.
For those of you not flying tomorrow, be safe on the roads. I'd imagine everyone is returning from their beach weekends as well so be cautious and plan for extra time

Monday morning update. NYC was fogged in but flights still going as expected. Atlanta is a mess, tons of diversions already due to thunderstorms
Hartsfield-Jackson Intl (KATL) is currently experiencing:
departure delays of 31 minutes to 45 minutes (and increasing) due to thunderstorms
all inbound flights being held at their origin until Monday at 09:00AM EDT
arrival delays for airborne aircraft an average of 26 minutes (and increasing)
ATL
Raleigh, Charlotte look to be up next in the cross hairs for thunderstorms
