right on man
we will be there Friday and Saturday, see you out there
I’ve not picked a place to stay yet and I have the same question about ride share service. I’d rather not have to drive to the shows

Any suggestions on where to watch the LSU game saturday night in the downtown area?
Considering catching an uber down to the Cooper Young area for dinner on saturday then catching the game at Railgarten.?.? Is there enough spots in that area for us to and kind of bar hop/tailgate for a few hours on a saturday afternoon/evening and experience a somewhat lively and social atmosphere?

Been to Memphis as a visitor many times. Here are some suggestions, weighted heavily towards the music side of life:
BBQ: Cozy Corner. Ribs and Cornish Game Hen. Desserts are wonderful.
BREAKFAST: Brother Junipers out at UM.
OTHERS: Gus' Fried Chicken. (get some Ranch Dressing too for dipping!) Automatic Slim's across from the Peabody for dinner. (Good weekend Brunch too.)
TO DO: Sun Studios. Stax Studios. Ducks at the Peabody. Graceland. Full Gospel Tabernacle on Sundays if Rev. Al Green is there. Civil Rights museum at the old Lorraine Motel. (Worth seeing once - too many photos and explainer cards, but passing through Dr Kings hotel room and the balcony at the end makes it worth it. Also a lot of the R&B coming out of Stax was written and rehearsed there.)
Have a good trip!

As for hotels.. The Holiday Inn Express at Medical Center (Union by the interstate) is good. Fresh cookies and popcorn in the evenings. Right behind it is Best Western Gen X - its trying to be trendy and almost makes it. And if the trollies are still running, its right on their line. Had a great time at the Hotel Napoleon downtown. Downtown is walkable from there. Beware - EVERY hotel in downtown thinks it worth north of $100 a night.
