Going to Nash with wife first week of December for the All for the Hall concert. We've been before and really don't care to spend hours drinking on Broadway. Any other suggestions? We are going to Gaylord, Grand Ole Opry and Gulch area. Holiday themed recs would be appreciated.

Forget Franklin Square; too packed and commercial.
I would hit the Dickson town square; its an unknown jewel. You get that 'old timey' christmas shopping feeling and there are some great places to eat like the desert rose cantina and xander's pizza.
even a handmade ice cream shop.
you'll find the original 85yo woman running the jewelry shop and she will sweetly try to talk you into buying $70 snow globes.
there's 2 local coffee shops, kids toy stores, bookstore, coop, mens shop and just about anything you'd want without the ridiculous overcrowded franklin town square.
its about 30 miles from downtown nashville.

we're going to that too.
have y'all been to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum? That's a neat afternoon thing to do. Might could do that before the concert. It's open daily from 9-5.

completely forgot about zoolumination. def. worth stopping by the zoo one evening to check it out. this is from last december when we went. you can't tell from here but that little village in the background of the second photo feels like you're in Spirited Away when you walk through it.
plan on dining at edessa across the street from the zo before you go
dont let the humble outside fool you
