PNW - I have a friend who just got a security job at Many Glacier Hotel. He owns a business in Jacksonville, FL, and it basically runs itself, so he has been driving his Motor Home to National Parks around the country and has decided that instead of coming home after 6 months on the road, he's going to find a job and stay out for the summer.
He says he's going to working 4 on and 2 off. I don't think he's a serious hiker, but he does like to hike and he has a Jeep that he spends a lot of time trying to break. Any suggestions on things to do up that way?

I've done glacier. Took the ferry down Watertown to goat haunt where we camped. Next day went over Stoney Indian pass. That was the toughest day by far. Ended up at chief mountain. Hike took a total of 4 days and covered roughly 45 miles

For the folks that have been to Utahs 5 parks. What is a good time of year. I would rather it be colder than hot.
Is October/November good?
I've visited all of the parks in the summer and it can get pretty hot.
Two years ago I hiked in Bryce and Zion during Thanksgiving week. The temperature can be all over the place but I really enjoyed it. There was one morning at Bryce that I started a hike in jeans, a long sleeve shirt, and a jacket. It was in the 30's. This was a fairly long hike and around 3 hours down the trail I was pulling off clothes and finishing the hike in shorts and a long sleeve t-shirt. It had warmed up to almost 70 degrees. You just have to layer on day like that.

East Glacier is the best part of the park. The best (and most popular but remote) hikes are out of Many and Two Med. Hikes here are mostly done by actual hikers and not window travellers (re: Avalanche Lake Trail). These areas are not accessible directly off of GTTS Road but can be accessed out of St. Mary on Hwy 89. The closest town is probably Browning, although Babb is nearby but only has a gas station and restaurant. East Glacier Park has a cool village for shops and a couple bars/restaurants but it's small. The populated areas are in West Glacier.
In the summer, you can take the Empire Builder (Amtrak) from east Glacier to West Glacier and even to Whitefish. Yes we have an incredible quaint Amtrak station that puts you right downtown in whitefish. Like out of a movie...
