Rhode Island highways

Driving on Route 6, after it became a two lane highway was a nightmare. If infrastructure is needed in the country, some of the funding should be directed to RI as the state does not seem to spend it's own money on road repair. The road was so bad (surrounding roads no better) that I will find another way to drive to Cape Cod even if I have to go out of my way rather than drive on the so called roads in the greater Providence area.
