Is this too much in 14 days by vehicle? I feel it will be too hard and need to cut at least 1 of them out.

My order of preference

1. Glacier
2. Banff
3. Yellowstone
4. Rocky Mountain

Thoughts?

My personal opinion is it's too much. You could spend 14 days at Yellowstone alone, not that you'd want to. If your goal is to get a feel for the parks so that you can plan a more detailed trip in the future that's certainly a strategy, but 3ish days in each of those parks really isn't enough if you want to hit all the highlights.

Personally, I'd cross off Banff and go Rocky Mountain -> Yellowstone -> Glacier. Then you could do a separate Canada trip later on because you'd be missing out on some great parks otherwise. Glacier (canada version) and Jasper are amazing parks.

Are you driving there or flying and renting a car?

I think I would do YS, Grand Teton NP (if you leave YS through the south exit you drive by/through GTNP) and then RMNP. If you drive from the southern or eastern US you could go through Rapid City, SD ( lot to do there) for a few days. We did this as a road trip about 5 years ago.

Then a separate trip to Glacier NP (US) and the Canadian parks; Banff, Jasper, etc. We’re doing this soon but flying into Calgary rather than driving from NC.

I say do it. Will be a hell of a road trip.

You can go later and see more in depth of each park.

I would do Banff>Glacier>Yellowstone. You're talking a 9 hour drive from Yellowstone to Rocky Mountain. It would make your trip much more enjoyable to not make that drive. You'll get your fill of the Rocky's and then some doing just those three.

We would drive from Louisiana there and back.

We did a similar road trip in the past to Grand Canyon, Sequoia, Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas and back.

No, it's not too much. 14 days is a long time.

We did a 10 day road trip a couple years ago starting at Yellowstone & finishing at Grand Canyon. Explored many national parks & monuments over that 2,100 miles.

Think your 14 day option would allow sufficient coverage of all 4 of your stops. Although, not sure Rocky Mtn National Park will be nearly as enjoyable after you've done the other 3. You might wanna cut that one back some.

Are you hiking in any of these places?

I would do RMNP, Tetons, Yellowstone. Plenty enough to see and hike in those 3 places alone.

We did Yellowstone and glacier and also toured those three state in about 12 days
We basically made a loop from Jackson up through Yellowstone and eventually heading towards glacier and came out the east side of glacier and headed south again

Google Maps shows it at 1,174 miles and 20 hours of driving from RMNP to Banff. So 3 days on the road between sites. And then probably 2 days air travel, I assume. That leaves 9 days to see 4 really good locations that are huge. Definitely too much IMO. At least pare it down to Yellowstone, Glacier, Banff. If you like long trips the do RMNP and Utah some day. Personally, I'd do Glacier and Yellowstone and call it a day. Banff to Jasper is spectacular, but the mountains are similar to Glacier in a lot of ways. There are a LOT of trails at Glacier, and Yellowstone is enormous. And of course the Tetons are next to Yellowstone, and Beartooth Pass is also next to Yellowstone and a great drive.

I’d axe Rocky mtn if it were me. 14 would still be a stretch to do your due diligence at the other 3 in 14 days . If you plan to drive and can swing it I’d look into flying into Calgary with a one way rental and open jaw flight coming home outta Jackson Wyoming.

Save Yellowstone and the Tetons for another trip.

Skip Rocky Mountain unless you're in Colorado.
