Going to Starkville this weekend with the family for LSU series against Miss. St. Leaving Friday and staying until Sunday. Any food recommendations? Anything else worth visiting in or around Starkville?

TIA

There are a couple of great golf courses near Starkville in West Point area. For food, two brothers, Stromboli’s for pizza (chicken ranchero is their best), Anthony’s in West Point for more finer dining

If you are into history, the library has the Grant Presidential library and an Abraham Lincoln exhibit. At one time I think it was the largest private collection in the world.

THE FRANK AND VIRGINIA WILLIAMS COLLECTION OF LINCOLNIANA Mitchell Memorial Library, 4th Floor

They’ve also got an interesting music collection and a John Grisham room.

CHARLES H. TEMPLETON MUSIC MUSEUM Mitchell Memorial Library, 4th Floor

THE JOHN GRISHAM ROOM Mitchell Memorial Library, 3rd Floor

The waterfowl overlook at the Noxubee Refuge used to be awesome. May still be.

Noxubee Wildlife Refuge is a tranquil place with woodlands and swamps. It's also home to some of the biggest alligators I've ever seen. The autumn is the best time to see it though.

Someone mentioned the Grant Presidential Library and there's an entomology museum on campus along with the Cullis and Gladys Wade clock museum. Also..there's a small Civil War arsenal museum off campus, but I think you have to have an appointment to tour Starkville Civil War Arsenal

Food wise, Starkville offers a good bit. Fine dining wise there's 44 Prime, TASTE, Commodore Bob's, and Magnolia Social. Other places are Bulldog Burger, Two Bros, Humble Taco, Restuarant Tyler, Harvey's, Uno Mas, Oby's, Little Dooey, Moe's BBQ, Andaman Thai, Central Station Grill

If you like NY style pizza, Dave's Darkhorse Tavern is awesome pizza.
