An international flight is not one to try to be cute getting to the airport. Get there a couple of hours ahead.

Passport checks delay the boarding process a decent bit, depending on how the airline is staffed and how prepared passengers are. People from NOLA combined with Southwest, I'd go borderline worst case scenario.
