Wife and I are headed there next month for the first time. Any certain activities, restaurants, excursions we need to consider? Thanks!

It is possibly going to be colder than you think in February, so "in water" activities may be out of play.

Rent a car so you can be mobile. Also rent a boat if you are comfortable running one--it opens more exploration options. You can also rent a boat with captain to take you around for a day and show you everything.

Take a ferry or boat to Chat n Chill on Stocking Island

Tropic Breeze is a good restaurant at the southern tip. Ask for the owner to sing for you--he has an amazing voice.

I can't recall any other noteworthy restaurants. Exuma is pretty rural and there is no real nightlife or excitement per se. We had to make our own way. for instance, we went to docks for fresh lobster we could cook in the room. We found some secluded beaches that we had all to ourselves. Plan on chilling and exploring much on your own.

Iconic Water Tours & Wildlife Encounters
-Swimming Pigs & Cays Boat Tour – See the famous swimming pigs at Big Major Cay (Pig Beach) ...a quintessential Exuma experience.
-Nurse Shark Swim at Compass Cay – Get up close with gentle nurse sharks in shallow water ...exciting yet safe.
-Iguana Encounters & Turtles – Visit Bitter Guana Cay to see endangered rock iguanas and swim with sea turtles in places like Hooper’s Bay.

Highly rated tour operators:
-Exuma Water Sports – Excellent reviews for swimming pigs tours, sandbars, snorkeling & day trips.
-Roberts island adventures – Great full-day tours with varied adventure options.
-Exuma Adventure Tours – Highly rated, personalized experiences.
-Staniel Cay Adventures & 3Ns Exuma Vacations – Excellent options from Staniel Cay (another hub worth exploring).
-Other solid choices: Fifty Shades Excursions, Island Boy Adventures, Aquadisiac Adventures.
-Many boat tours include multiple stops ...swimming pigs, secluded sandbars, snorkeling reefs, and Thunderball Grotto (made famous by the James Bond films).

Scenic Spots & Outdoor Fun
-Stocking Island & Beach Bars – Take a water taxi from George Town to chill on the sandbar and make a stop at Chat 'N' Chill Beach Bar & Grill or Coconut Club for drinks and local eats right on the water.
-Hidden Sandbars & Kayaking – Explore shallow sandbanks that appear at low tide ...perfect for photos and a little island exploration.
-Tropic of Cancer Beach – A gorgeous long beach on Little Exuma with soft sand and crystal waters.

Posting to add we brought our own frozen meat (steaks and ground meat) to cook at the house as quality beef was hard to come by.

I used a yeti backpack as a carry on and filled it with vacuum sealed meat.

I got mixed reviews from people on here when i asked about doing that. But it was 100% helpful. The markets in Exuma don't have a great selection on meat.

Did the exact same thing when I went to harbour island. Had some leftover at the end and gave it to some locals and they were beyond excited.
