Things to do in Nashville (other than Boardwalk)

My girlfriend and I are going to Nashville for a long weekend in early spring.
We’ll surely hit up the honky tonks at night, but we will be looking for other things to do as well - especially during the day.
She’s from South America, so she wouldn’t be interested too much in Hermitage.
Any recommendations for things to do outdoors? Hikes? Cool shopping areas? Farmers Markets?
Any restaurants we shouldn’t miss?

Lot of threads here on Nashville:

Generally:
Outdoor: Hiking. Radnor Lake. Warner Parks. Beaman Park.
Historic: Ft. Negley.
Tours: Country Music Hall Of Fame. Ryman.
Dining: So many new options. Depends on what you like. Review Site.
Gulch and German Town are full of options. East Nashville is very hip and full as well.

The Jack Daniels Distillery tour is great. It would take up a good bit of time though.
But you could do a whiskey tasting in Nashville like the Nelson Greenbriar Distillery.
I hike Radnor Lake about a month ago. It's in town and very pretty.
