As said, that seems very expensive. Try different time options or classes.
But no way in hell I'd fly to london to Paris and back in a day.
To fly you are talking 4 cab rides or 4 extra subway rides, plus their time. Easy 30 minutes each way if not closer to an hour. That's 2-4 hours extra of your time. Train you arrive at most 60 minutes before your train,plus the station is close. So again, you save at least 2 hours by train. Trains are almost never delayed, who knows about flights?
ETA: I just looked, I got $262 round trip on Eurostar. As said, its cheaper booked further out. It may be slightly more for different times. But there is absolutely no way I'd do a flight for $140 over a $262 train ride for a round trip 1 day trip. The train will save you loads of time, and the cost of the plane once you include transportation to the airport and back will be more. Plus the train is almost stress free, plane not always the case.
