Travel in 2021: how do you picture it?

I'm sure mask will still be required but will the following happen
- leisure travel open up more
- countries opening up for tourist
- will you have to show proof of vaccine
- will you have to submit to an international registry
- will tourist attractions open as normal or be limited
- will flight prices increase or decrease?

Seriously, who knows. Much is going to depend on the vaccine: how quickly can it be administered to a broad swath of "regular" and not just high risk/high priority people? And will it prove as effective across large groups as it was in the trials?
I haven't heard of any "international registry" proposals. (We barely have a functioning international registry for serious criminals.) Individual proof of vaccination will also be difficult to document--is your health provider going to issue a card or certificate? There is no national mandate for such a thing, and vaccine distribution is delegated down to the states. LA is not issuing any "proof of vaccine" to people who get the jab. So is a "note from your doctor" going to suffice? It's no sort of official credential and easily faked, so it would be useless.
I'm not expecting to have vaccine access until late May/early June, as I don't fall into any higher priority categories. I don't expect to be doing any international travel before late summer or fall.

I am planning for limited destination options. Might not be able to get the trip of your choice, but there will be opportunities. I had a great trip to Aruba a few months back. I don’t see why island destinations will be an issue.
I have my honeymoon scheduled for April. Maldives booked. I expect that to be available but limited flight options might cause us to delay. We were planning on spending a few days in Singapore first as a jumping off spot. I doubt that will happen.

Zero chance things open back up internationally. This is going to be an ebb and flow situation. Can’t imagine planning too far in advance for anything

I think people are ready to get outside now and will definitely be itching to travel come summer 2021. I'd guess airlines raise their prices a bit by summer, but for early 2021 they remain about the same or decrease even more.

For everyone's sake I hope it's this year. People want more flights and options to get places, but that won't happen until more people are traveling and flights end up full again.

Yeah I've got vouchers and companion passed that need to be used in 2021 unless Delta rolls it all over again....
I'm hoping by July/August we can start really flying again. I want to book for Mardi Gras but worried of another lockdown

I imagine things will open up more in the second half of 2021. Next summer will be amazing.

Same. I know it is a guess but anyone have an opinion on whether Delta will roll over. I’d bet that they do not but think it’s probably too early to have much confidence in that.

1. Wife (no pics) and I are both going to get the vaccine when we can. Expect that to be mid-late Q12021.
2. We rebooked our Viking Cruise from April of this year to November 2021. Tagging on a trip to Austria and Czechia.
3. I expect to have to have proof of vaccination in any of the countries we plan on going to.
4. I think COVID protocols will still be in place. On the cruise, limited passengers. No Buffet (served meals). Spaced out seating.

No hotels booked as of yet. Just grabbed flights with AA points from DFW.

not sure how it will look, but I refuse to go anywhere that will require masks to be worn, proof of vaccine, international registry, etc.
It is just not a vacation doing any of the mask bullshite.
