What is happening there?! You stop in two cities to reach STL??

I know right? In the past i probably would have liked this to get a scenic route down to florida, but now covid restrictions during flying are not favorable for this itinerary.

What days are you flying? Their online rebooking tool is good for quick things, guessing you can use their online tool to see what's available. I'm on hold now with them and it's 120 min+ of a wait time

We ended up getting a refund, and rebooking a one way in on JB on Saturday, doubling the length of the trip. Coming back on an AA one way that cost more than the round trip tickets we had to start with. Oh well, should be a great thanksgiving in the keys.

Can you help me out with flights? Looking to fly out morning of 11/22 from msy or btr to lax and flight back on 11/29. Was looking at American Airlines flights yesterday after delta and southwest changed their times but now aa flights are all changed up too. Thanks for the help.

Happy to help

Those are two of the busiest travel days of the year, also they are both on sundays but I think you're aware of this already. As much as I hate to say it, I think spirit is your best bet here as long as you can leave around noon instead of early morning heading west. They have a nonstop MSY-LAX leaving at 12:15pm arriving 2:37pm for $75. Spend the extra money and pay for exit rows or the big seats up front and it will be perfectly fine. LINK

On the way back, not many good options. Spirit has the nonstop but it leaves at 6am and is $173/person. Next cheapest is american at $288, southwest is well over $350 for this one-way ticket and delta is even more expensive. LINK

Just a note, I saw southwest have their thanksgiving flights on sale on Monday/Tuesday just after the schedule change happened. As soon as everyone started to rebook, those cheap tickets went away and now they're overpriced. You can potentially wait until tuesday or wedneday this week to book or even next week, but I am unsure if prices will go up or down for this given it's a holiday weekend.
