Acqualina in Sunny Isles Beach, FL. I cannot tell people about it enough. It’s great for a special occasion, but be warned...the prices aren’t like Cancun. Bring your wallet but so worth it.

Tell your daughter that she should tell the day care they need to have somebody shadow him before they kick him out so they can stop it from happening. If they won’t, she should do it a few hours herself...might be eye opening how much “supervision” does or doesn’t happen. They should also have multiples of the same toy in the classroom. If none of that works and he’s as smart as he claims, she should ask to have him moved to the 3 year old room for a week and see if he’s better there before jumping to just kick him out.

Aria SkySuites. Avoids the riff raff, great restaurants (Jean Georges Steakhouse), decent pool with some nice talent. Centrally located so good to be a home base. Good deals should be had mid-week.
Honorable mention to the Skylofts, but you have to get through the culture to get to your room.

We ended up getting a refund, and rebooking a one way in on JB on Saturday, doubling the length of the trip. Coming back on an AA one way that cost more than the round trip tickets we had to start with. Oh well, should be a great thanksgiving in the keys.

JetBlue got us good. Was scheduled11/25-11/29 to FLL. Ended up completely cxl on11/25 and moved us to Thursday, and pushed Sunday’s flight from a 2pm arrival to 9pm. Doesn’t work well with school age kids.

I am a lurker coming out of hiding to tell you I lost my last living grandparent and unexpectedly my dad about 3 hours apart a few years ago. My mom was sadly present for both and it’s changed her to her core. It sucks even now but time does help as much as anything can. It certainly put time in perspective for me as well. It was also right around the same date that we lost my grandma (mom side) so that’s just an awful weekend every year. I hope you have a good support system and just take time for you or it will eat you up.
