re: What’s a good relatively new Western?

American Primeval was badass. It’s about the Mormons pretending to be injuns and the almost war with the American military. 3 or 4 part ministries on Netflix from just the last year or so. Super violent and a true story.
I’d say The Hatfields & The McCoys too. Sort of a western.
Both great.

re: Horizon Chapter 2 Will we ever get to see it?

I hope. I loved part 1. Say what you will about Kevin Costner, (Actually don’t. He’s a goddamn American treasure) the man can make a good western.
Oof. What a disappointment…
It’s no Son in Law or Encino Man, but early 90s Pauly Shore was pretty great. I’d give it a B-

Shut up! It’s 12d chess!

It’s concerning in that the people in power for both parties have an insatiable appetite for death and destruction.

Nah. I think this site’s just aged up in the last 10-15 years. Seems like it’s a little less gay than it used to be. (Still somewhat gay. Just less)

Perhaps it's just me... But where were all of these comedians during the Biden Harris years? Oh I know.... They were too chicken shite because they knew Biden would have came after them. Funny how that works
It’s definitely just you. Tim Dillon has been at this for years. In fact, I’d say standup comedians as a whole go after the libs and wacky leftists way harder than they do conservatives. Late night talk show hacks aside.

I think it’s just the generation that grew up with travel ball and social media.
They spent their childhood being celebrated and their moms posting their “careers” all over the internet. You don’t know you’re a douche when you’re a 12 year old boy. (You are)
Used to be, the coach was your only connection to the sport. And he had no problem calling you a little shite. Now, your mom runs the show and puts you on Facebook/Tik Tok. Causes these dipshits to think they’re ARod when they’re like 12.

I’d say this is a pretty good slogan for the team the way they’ve played this year.
Jumbled. Confused. A little retarded. But overall, hopeful.

He’s been pretty hot at the plate, and he’s better than Arrambide.
So basically, not what you just said.

re: Love On The Spectrum Season 4
Posted by thenza on 4/3/26 at 2:30 pm to Henry Jones Jr
My wife loves reality TV. I hate it.
Except for this show. Legit, one of my favorite shows on Netflix. This season feels a little more “produced” than prior seasons. But it was still really good.
And I said it on last season’s thread but I’ll say it again. The season 3 finale was grade A, solid gold. Roller coaster of emotions and I would suggest Love on the Spectrum to anyone, whether you like reality TV or not.

re: Anyone tried parting your hair on the opposite side?
Posted by thenza on 4/3/26 at 8:52 am to Tiger Ryno
Little known fact:
We subconsciously view hair parting differently. The left indicates masculinity and authority while the right indicates weakness and submissiveness.
It’s why Superman’s hair is parted on the left and Clark Kent’s is parted on the right.
Or so says some random YouTube video I watched anyway.

Add this to the list of awful things that happened under Bill Clinton. Remember when there weren’t 6 companies that owned the whole world?
There literally used to be laws against this kind of media consolidation. And we were way better off for it.
Mega corps and their endless quest for more and more have destroyed the soul of this country. Disney/ABC/Fox/whatever else they own is tops in that regard.

Funny related story. In the 1990s, my grandfather was in his early 80s. He was starting to slip. Would just kinda sit around and not contribute much to conversations and seemed to not totally grasp what was said to him. This went on for years. My grandmother took him to the doctor. Turns out, his hearing aid had just broken years earlier and he was ok with it. (My grandmother was a wonderful woman who talked a lot. A lot)
They repaired his hearing aid and overnight he was 20 years younger.
Guys. Guys. I was talking about porn.
Did no one get that?

The whole character was stupid from the get-go. Why would a person who's been a soldier in the Nazi regime from childhood be so emotive?
Finn should have been exactly like K2-SO. He could still have been a funny character, but his comedy should have been in the fact that he was so serious and literal.
Anyway, the whole concept is stupid and I'm mad again about a movie from 10 years ago...
Thanks for bringing that up.
