more directly at the oppostion fielders. We watch A&M and others hit hard ground balls that somehow are almost always in gaps. We are no good, but I think we are more unlucky than not good.....at least on this extended losing streak.
I feel bad for Benge. He is just having horrible luck. His last two batters, only two, I might add, hit really good pitches that bled into the open field. I'd like to see more of him, unless he is just this unlucky all the time.

Hanging curve balls

the difference the last two game is A&M swings and them and hits them hard at a high rate. LSU either watches them or beats them in the ground.

Bad catching cost LSU another run

that's two for this game....stay tuned.
How does JJ not see Bide is our worst catcher. Put him in DH and forget aboutit.
so bad. so puzzling. This team seems to have been coached down. They are all worse than last year. that is hard to pull off.
maybe. a&m has a hitting coach. LSU certainly doesn't
simply because we will not play the positions the way they have always been played. Everyone just wants to be smarter than decades of baseball. Also why is Bide ever catching. Serne is much better receiver. Bide can pinch hit and we get better catching. that first run was caused because Bide couldn't get in front of a low pitch. We are just playing such bad baseball, and honestly most of it is a result of JJ's decisions these days.
and Benge is correct, but I think he was referring to the bloop look what I found single on a perfect pitch. Benge is waaaaay better than Rizy ever thought of being

I agree, and JJ brings in Rizzy who on any given pitch has no idea where the ball is going. How someone actually thinks he is a pitcher is actually bizarre.
Has LSU won a friday night game this year?
not what I saw. Maybe it is thou that is confused.
Over and under on how many hitters Lochenwhatever faces before he hits a batter?
I don't know what you are talking about. That two run single was a basic ground ball directly where a 2nd baseman would be playing without the lousy shift. That shift cost LSU two runs and probably the ball game.

Nope, that is bad baseball.
2nd baseman should be playing. That out of position just cost LSU two runs and most likely the ball game. I am really tired of watching this happen every freakin game. Play baseball like it has been played for decades....successfully.
we are going to to continue to not score many runs. I wish there was an easy fix for that problem.

Sam was much closer to winning than most realize. Two points to make.....I didn't see all of his tee shots because CBS didn't show him the last day from hole 4-16. But I did see Sam hit two drives into the trees...hooked on 13 into the trees. His ball hit trees and fell into the creek....penalty.
In last round he hit his tee shot on 2 in the right trees....unplayable lie, penalty and even more trouble on his available drop, resulting in a double bogey. Think about how many drives Rory hit right in the trees on 2....how many penalties or blocked 2nd shots.....zero. Same thing on 18 last round. Bottom line, Rory never had to pay for his really wild driving. Sam was penalized 2 shots for his two shots in the trees, at least as far as I saw.
Same thing, even worse for Young....hooked drive on 13, hit trees and bounced in the fairway..birdie, which easily could have been a 6 or worse (ask the Chinaman)...Young hit into the trees round 3 on 18...kicked out in the fairway for a shot. How about his heeled drive on 18 into the left trees, that bounced out and he had a shot to the green.
There were several other fortunate bounces for them plus Rose (17) and I can't think of a single one for Sam.
I am not saying he lost because of all of this, but I am saying that from a playing viewpoint, Sam played as well with zero good bounces. In my mind, that was the difference for him winning or finishing 7th. I know it happens ever tournament, that the guys with the best bounces combined with good play, usually win. Rory did not play like a real champion on Sunday imo, but he survived.

can he play 2nd base since his pitching career is done, and we need a decent infielder?
try beating it in their heads what is the right way to play winning baseball and stop just telling them that they know how. I don't actually think they do. They can't field, throw, bunt, run bases, throw strikes, catch or give up themselves to move a runner .
They obviously need to be taught and tomorrow is as good a time to start as any. Just telling them isn't getting through to them. teach them over and over and over until it is natural to them. Play those willing to learn and have potential and put the remainder on the bench and tell them to start looking for another school to screw up.
