I would argue not having an effective point guard might be hurting us more.

Very much agree. Our O stalls too often. We turn the ball over often. Opposing PG's light us up. This roster is very flawed. We still have a slim chance of making the Tourney. We won't go far............but being invited to The Dance is better than sitting in the parking lot drinking Boone's Farm.
Our sticks need to wake up....in a hurry. We have hit the ball in one out of our first four games. We can't put it in play with a man on third and less than two outs. It's frustrating to watch so far.
Pitching looked solid.......it's hard to tell though. Youngstown got on the field for the first time on Thursday.

It looks like we have a solid lineup. Hopefully we stay healthy and see how things shake out.

what Oats, and bama fans fail to mention,

..................the NCAA cleared all of these players. Oats got a bama booster judge to clear Bediako. All the while the NCAA, and SEC office, said he should be ineligible.

So they embarrassed Auburn at home on Saturday just for fun?

or bama embarrassed itself by bringing in a true pro only to have those wins not count?
quote:

This is the dumbest comment I’ve seen on here today. Since 2023 Bediako has totaled $530,000. That kind of money won’t get you any 5 star coming out of high school. Probably won’t get you a top 50 caliber playe

It's not about how much he made. He signed a two-way contract That is different than a G League contract. Two-way contracts are NBA contracts, whether he ever suited up for an NBA team or not.

And exactly where else did he excel?

FSU had the top rated O in the ACC this past season.

Gus was a hell of a coach. His program had grown stale here, but he did some amazing things while at Auburn. I will forever be grateful for the enjoyment he brought Auburn fans on many a Saturday..........and one glorious Monday night.

Gus had a very positive impact on the FSU offense. Yardage went from like 180 yards per game to 250. Rushing went from 2.9 per carry to 5.2. Gus probably saved Norvell just as much as the buyout did.

Next season is going to be hilarious.

FSU led the ACC in total O this past season.

What is different in theory between signing a contract with a professional NBA team and a professional European team?

European pro ball is glorified AAU.

That's like comparing MLB to the Korean pro baseball league.

If you sign an NBA contract, whether you ever suit up for an NBA team, you should never be eligible for college ball again.

What's next........minor leaguers who signed out of HS being able to play college ball?

re: Bama Basketball looks lost.

Your messiah football coach brought in a player UGA kicked out of school for beating the shite out of his GF. Your head football coach brought back a player bama expelled for beating the shite out of students and stealing their credit cards.

In other words.........bama fans need to step away from pointing the finger.
Everybody loves to watch a train wreck.

So you predicted Indiana would win the Championship this year?

nobody predicted either of the teams in the NC game.

However, the team with zero 5's and 8 4's went into the Tourney as the #1 seed...........in other words, again, winning on NSD doesn't mean a damn thing. Finding talent and developing it is what wins games.

ya'll are on the outside looking in for the tournament..

somebody isn't paying attention.

Auburn coach quit and forced the university to hire his son.. Now they're unranked

and ranked ahead of bama in the SEC standings.
quote:

Theres gotta be talent to develop. A kids ceiling is a kids ceiling. Im not a star chaser or anything but Indiana is going to have to do it more than 1-2 seasons to use it as the new blueprint. They brought in a qb overachiever and the pieces fell into place similar to our 2010 more so than he reinvented the playbook the past 2 seasons.

They made the playoffs the last two years with two different QB's. Every school in the country would take that.
quote:

Your coach is STEVEN Pearl

he has Auburn ahead of bama in the SEC standings at the moment.

(we should be 5-2)
quote:

At some point a coach must decide which he would rather deal with. Either endure the BS from these kids agents/uncles to sign who we need to win or endure the wrath of the fans/community for losing. Gotta pick 1 it seems

BS. You need a HC that can develop talent. I just watched a team with ZERO 5's and just over a handful of 4's win a NC.

People used to say the same thing about Jay Wright. I

Wright's teams were known for their high intensity effort on D. They were physical on both ends of thee floor. You could not be further off on your assessment.

quote:

When an Auburn fan is talking shite about Oats? Of course.

Oats is a one trick pony. Shoot the 3. His teams play very little D. When the 3's are falling, bama is dangerous. When they aren't...........
