Just a reminder about the South LA QDMA Deer Management Seminar that is being held at Cabela's? tonight and again on Saturday. If you haven't already signed up, please do so now. It is going to be an excellent event with a ton of information.
Your best bet to learn as much info as you can on deer and wildlife habitat management is to join QDMA. Its only $30 and you will learn TONS of info about answering all of the questions you asked such as how to determine total deer population, adult sex ratios, fawn recruitment, harvest goals, etc... Check out www.qdma.com
Good deal. Looks pretty good. Uniting all deer hunters for one common cause, and its FREE! There are already some major players involved in this. In the first 2 days of the NDA's existence, they received over $100,000 from some of the major archery companies. The Mule Deer Foundation joined as a partner, with a bunch more groups in the works. They had over 1000 people join in the first 2 days and will have 5000 by the end of the week, and shooting for a million within a year.

Its an event where you can bring your deer heads to get officially scored and also just look at some of the deer that are brought in by other people. LDWF Biologists will be doing all of the deer scoring. They will also be discussing the results of last year's deer season and talking about the upcoming deer season.
