I think we need to run the ball at Dottery 30 times next year and let Hasz or whoever is tight end have a career day. His best trait was being able to direct the defense and that won't be part of his job description at lsu.

I hate we lost Harper. I don't know much about Curne, but I think Harper is in the draft in 2 years.
Watkins is good but I honestly consider him an addition by subtraction. In a world of divas at the receiver position, he might be at the top. He'd rather be a tik tok star than a football player. Talented as hell, but just not worth the distraction.
Dottery is a leader but watching him try and cover and average tight end is as brutal. Princewill would be the one that hurts the most if that happens.

Back to what I said, I don't think Moscano meets the 6' threshold to refer to anyone or anything as a runt.

Badly want that UT linebacker. Plus I don't like having to buy the cal linebacker out from clemson. Once these kids sign, they should honor it
I hope the OP is at least 6' tall. I think to refer to anyone or anything as a runt, a man has to be at least 6'.

Well I can't fault him for being pissed we're paying him $300K and a defensive end he is rated higher than in the portal is looking at $2M. Anyone know what Harper's was?

I'm fine with him leaving as long as he buys out his deal, assuming he signed one. That's money we planned on going to him that maybe could have been used for a different tackle or another position. Same with Princewill. Maybe we could have been in on Damon Wilson or those twins, but we thought we had him as our starting defensive end and that money was tied up.
I'm not all that upset about Harper or Dottery, but Princewill is a different story. Harper would have been a good player for us but if he didn't leave this year when he "maybe" starts, he definitely was leaving next year. Our linebacker play was so atrocious last year I just can't get too worked up about any of those interior lbs leaving.
I don't mind Kiffin trying to get our players, he recruited some of them so he has the same right to recruit them once they're in the portal as the coach from any other school. However, calling players when he knows they have already signed with us is a different story. The Big Ten stood with Washington when they said they were going to fight it.
Greg Sankey's just sits on the sidelines not doing a fricking thing because he is gutless. It is past time for him to retire. He got hired at the peak of the SEC dominance with Saban and was able to ride that, now that Saban is gone the SEC is falling behind and the Big Ten Commissioner is making him look like a chump.

If lane is really behind a lot of all this stuff happening with players with signed deals hearing about others pay and getting in the portal, it's time to take the gloves off. If even 10% of the rumors about him are true, find the receipts, pay whoever has them if you have to, and leak it everywhere and to everyone. Make sure every mother out there knows he won't just leave their son for another team, he'll also leave them while struggling to cope with a midlife crisis and a breakup with a teenager

I get the dottery thing and I'm sure lane has been in Harper's ear since they lost all those lineman and he's from lousiana. I do not get princewell. He excelled as the season went on and we return so much of the defense he was set up to have a big year. His brother boosted his draft stock here. Would love to know what happened

Don't think dottery ever signed so that just is what it is. If Harper and princewell signed, make whoever it is tampering with them pay the buyout and move on. Really don't care to have players here that sign and then change their mind.

Liked Womack's potential but man he played undisciplined football. He could still have a breakout but I'm sure they wanted to bring in someone more consistent
Linebacker was a weakness and we somehow have gotten worse and with less depth. Better be active in that market because I really have no idea what we have now that we lost chris jones and dottery in the space of a few days.

Question, do LSU people really believe that's the best job in the country? Like better than UGA, Texas, osu, bama, Michigan, usc etc? I know most people from Louisiana don't ever venture to go outside that state, but what would lead to this delusion?

Haha anyone that thinks college football doesn't run through UGA and Ohio State is insane. Bama is still right there and Cignetti isnt't going anywhere. Those 4, Notre Dame, Michigan, Oregon, ad Texas are probably the 8 you would put money on to make the majority of the playoffs. With how down the ACC and Big 12 are and the money they are throwing around, Texas Tech and Miami are probably up there as well. That's obviously not every year but if you said 12 teams make the playoff over the next 10 years, I'd bet those 8 make it over 50% of the time. A&M, UT, LSU, Oklahoma, will be battling along with the unknowns due to the coaching changes (Florida, Auburn, Ole Miss, Penn State).
Lane Kiffin did great at Ole miss but also went 10-3 with an Ole Miss team that was arguably the 2nd or 3rd most talented in the country with a 3 year starter at QB that was a first round pick.
