On3 board say he’s a tiger.
If true, huge get.

Go get the T that just entered from Texas.
No shot we’ll be able to outbid Texas if this this simply about money.

My dad and his crew over the weekend in Johnson Bayou had a 5 man limit each day. They did split up 2/3 to hunt 2 different holes.
About 60%greys and the other 40% were blue wings.
Lucky bastards.

He used the portal to leverage more pay from OM. If he were to actually leave, word was he was going to Michigan where he’s from.
From a numbers wise, 13 isn’t a bad place to be. We likely only need 2 but I think the 2 need to be immediate impact type guys.
I believe we usually carry about 15 scholarship ol so we’re almost there.

In the dome with my wife!
We paid $1,600 total for the pair but it was totally worth it.
We went together in 2011 while we were in college but this experience was much better lol

As mentioned January 31st is the final day allowed to be hunted for ducks per the feds. You’ll never be able to legally hunt ducks in February.
Most marsh hunters don’t really like more days in January due to lack of water. Ponds go dry and or are very difficult to access this time of the year.

Like others said we need at a minimum 2 more ol but I’d like to get our totally number up to 15 that’s 4 more.
After that nothing else is an absolute need but we’ll keep adding if the right guy comes available.
I’d like a bigger rb if possible to get us to 5 as well.

This was a market play, plain and simple.

Louisiana’s total duck habitat is worsening every year and I believe that is playing a big role in the decline of our duck hunting. I also believe the populations are way way down and worse than is being reported. Waterfowl not named mallards and Canada’s still migrate but there’s just not as many and may be going to areas with better habitat.
Flyways are also somewhat shifting is a theory of mine.
Killing piles of mallards in S LA is dead and has been for awhile since they just don’t make it down here in big numbers anymore.
My dad would consistently kill limits of mallards in rice fields throughout S La up through the 90’s. You still could just not near as consistently through the 00’s but the decline in migrating mallards began in the mid 90’s and has gotten to where it is now over the last 30 years.

Everybody thinks he’s going back home to Georgia Tech

Word is we want both.
Will we actually het Coleman, that remains to be seen.

There are so many factors that are affecting duck hunting in Louisiana. A lot are our fault and a lot aren’t.
For starters we have much less suitable habitat down here for ducks than ever before. Our marshes are continuing to erode and have the ability to hold less ducks than before every season.
Decrease rice acreage along with most rice fields doubling as crawfish ponds. The ponds are too deep and you have the boats chasing the ducks out every day.
Up north you have the issue of unlimited corn, open water due to reservoirs, and mild winters.
Less ducks due to poor habitat from droughts in the prairies and a constant decrease in prairies that are being tilled for corn.
On the mallard front: there is a direct correlation to dramatic increase in corn production due to rise of ethanol to a dramatic decrease of migrating mallards in Louisiana over the last 30 years.
My dad used to shoot limits of green heads consistently in the rice fields if gueydan and also whiteville in the 80’s and 90’s.

Curne and Adams are the ones I would’ve definitely liked to keep. Word is Curne is kind of a knucklehead and is tweeting that lsu wasn’t entering the portal turned them off from fighting to keep him. In reality, Curne messed up his own paperwork which was the reason for the slight delay lol.
Not totally sure on why adams left. Haven’t heard much.
The staff has fought to keep Moore and Davis which should definitely tell you something on Davis’s potential.

re: Trinidad Chambliss...Waiver or no waiver, I think the kid should go ahead and just go pro.

Yea if he can slip into the first round, he has to go.
Mendoza and Simpson are the only first round QBs as of now.
I think chambliss could pass Simpson with a good combine and whatnot.
He absolutely should go if Moore returns tomorrow which seems to be the thought as of now.

Capital lake in BR sometimes has thousands.
This year though I have not seen near as many along with dos gris.

Ty will be at worst the 3rd qb off the board and a probable first rounder.
He was mocked in top 10 by everybody until ppl thought he was returning and took him out of mocks.

Nebraska is dead and has been going on for 30 years. Penn state continues to be a super overrated program to me.
It’s been 40 years since their last national championship. I realize they got screwed in 1994 but that’s over 30 years ago now. Most of the programs ranked 11-15 are all way better than Nebraska and Penn state this century

I second the bank robbery scene from the dark knight as one of the better opening scenes.
But Top Gun opening is just so damn good.

re: Louisiana Duck Hunters

I don’t duck hunt anymore. I live to far away from my spots, and I have a young family that keep me busy. The juice simply isn’t worth the squeeze anymore.
My heyday was 2005-2016 and had many great hunts all across SW Louisiana from marshes to the rice fields. Even then my dad and his buddies said wish you could’ve seen the good ole days from the 70’s through 90’s.
Unless you see radical changes in Louisiana and really throughout the whole flyway, the glory days of Louisiana duck hunting are long gone.
That’s not to say, you can’t have good days here and there. You have to work harder and go through a lot of bad days unless you have access to the few remaining promo areas.
