"Obamacare" is NOT an insurance plan. When the affordable care act was passed it was a setup of guidelines that insurance companies had to adhere too and created the market place. This idea originally came from the Heritage foundation and was adopted by Mitt Romney in Mass.
After it was passed and before congressional republicans kept chipping away at it - it was slowing the rate at which health care costs was rising. After it was neutered we have returned to the time before and exponential rising costs and worse care.
