Yes - rebuild, but maintain the 3 rooks. In addition to the lack of 3 point shooting, the team ranks 4th to last in number of offensive rebounds given up per game. This team is just horrendous at simple fundamentals, like boxing out your man.

No. Read what he first posted. He was wrong. The school is the govt. Doesn't mean employees have unfettered free speech. It also is clear that they do have some 1st amendment protections as their employer is, in fact, the govt. The firing was unjustified and they opted to pay a sizable sum out of court.

Incorrect. Peay is a public school, therefore it is the government for 1st amendment purposes.

I did not see any of that game, but looked at the overall stats and its hard to believe the Browns' won, even with that 90 yd plus int return.

Undoubtedly, and I would add Fats Domino to that list. It should have been in NO, but the "esteemed" minds of the tourism bureaus in the city and state did not think it would significantly add to tourism (and, they were dead wrong). There is hope that a La. Music Hall of Fame will get built, but it was part of that development on Convention Center Blvd that has fizzled out, so its now homeless.

Its been a few years, but its a nice atmosphere, and if the weather is good, it has plenty of patio seating. Food and beer are very good (schnitzel is excellent) and it frequently has live music (usually the better blues musicians in NO). Not a bad way to spend an evening.

Ohio and Cleveland provided way more in financial incentives. The public reason announced was that the so-called first rock n' roll disc jokey (and promoter), Allen Freed, hailed from Cleveland. If La and the city had met or exceeded what Ohio/Cleveland offered, it would have been in NO.

You have a new hotel that will be built as part of the Convention Center, so not sure its feasible. They already are having a very hard time selling apartments at the new Mississippi River build-out so that's not very feasible either. You could do the Hall of fame for both pro teams, and also do one for the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame which is looking for a place, and all three attractions would fit nicely with the Pels.

Franco Harris was really a different type of guy. At that time, he didn't like driving to and from the games, so he used to walk/hitch hike. After that amazing game, the guy literally stuck out his thumb to get a ride back to his home.

That's an amazing album. I have bought a few other compilations from Born Bad Records, and all have been in constant rotation on my system.

The lone silver lining is that the Pels actually outscored a team in the 3rd. Bad news is EVERY player was in the negative for the entire game on the plus/minus.

What is really concerning is that it really looks l.ike the team has quit on a 1st year HC. They have some older vets on this team that are normally leaders and can keep the team together (Jordan and Davis). Looks like even they are not able to help keep the players trying. I liked the Moore hire, but he may not last more than 1 more season at this point. I get the lack of talent, but the lack of effort is really disheartening and eye opening.

Queen and Fears did not play great that game - both had the worst plus/minus for the team (every starter was negative, while every other player was positive). The style of play that the new coach is incorporating may not be the best fit for the roster. All that said, at some point, just let the rookies play a ton of minutes since any chance of post season is already a pipe dream.
