re: Are Alabama fans so salty because of no titles in anything in 9 years?
Posted by Woodrow Wilson on 2/24/26 at 9:12 am to Kashmir
In Alabama there is a complicated relationship between Evangelicals and University of Alabama football. The former strives for redemption and a better afterlife while the later uses football as a substitute for personal success. The duopoly makes poor whites feel no obligation to change and vindicates their lack of economic progress.

So? What's your point? Comparing one man to an entire fan base still does make bama anything but a pariah program, school and laughing stock.

Nate Oats and bama zealots feel that winning is all that matters. No noble social values, sportsmanship or integrity. They desire self-esteem by cheap and superficial methods in order to make their miserable lives appear normal.

Bama is to cheating what the Mafia is to crime!

At least bama zealot's comments have the great virtue of being unintelligible.

Oats fits the bama culture as he is a truly awful person.

Bama is as bama does.

Indeed, it is so sad that the very esteem dimwitted bama zealots crave is taken away by their actions.

Oats fits in with his demeanor and persona. Who else would want to be affiliated with UAT? A partial infamous and shameful list of Bama's most "passionate" alumni/fans such as: Harvey Updyke, Connor Bruce Croll, MICHELLE PRITCHETT, Adrian Laroza Briskey, Shorty Price, John Phillips and Brian Downing Jermaine Burton, Darwin Holt and Tommy Lewis et al... Very embarrassing list to be sure like no other school in America. Victims of too much bama. Indeed, it is so sad that the very esteem dimwitted bama zealots crave is taken away by their actions. Bama is as bama does.

It's amazing you know this. Why would anyone care about this minutia? Get a life or at least a job. You must be compensating for being socially awkward.

So? Why is this important to you? Get a life or at least a job.

Curious, why is this important to you? Do you gain some self-respect or self-worth out of knowing such trivia? Of all the things in this wide world you are concerned with such minutiae, why? Row tyde.
re: Auburn was 68-35 under Gus Malzahn

It's sad that the ability of 19-22 year old football players determine the self-esteem and self-worth of bama fans. Bama football has held back progress in the state since its success is more important than improving, per-capita income, infant mortality, literacy, public education or any other quality of life factor to the bama football zealots. When a football program controls a university it is no longer a university in the truest sense of the word.

The Navy has Naval Aviators and the Air Force has pilots. The reason is Air Force pilots will not land a jet low on fuel at night in rough seas on a postage stamp in the middle of the ocean. Only Naval Aviators will do that. As they say, 'if it was easy the Air Force would do it." Fly Navy!!!
re: Holy shite UGA got the biggest cupcake schedule
Posted by Woodrow Wilson on 12/12/25 at 8:19 am to Sheppards Pie
Historically UGA has been able to hide their flaws with the most pansy of schedules. For half a century the SEC played only six conference games, they played Vandy, Kentucky and Ole Miss every year and never Bama, UT or LSU (add Georgie Tech for good measure). It always came down to if UGA beat Auburn then they were most likely at least tied for a SEC championship. Their trophy case is very misleading as they never played the SEC powers except Auburn.
