In my younger days I worked for a while as a helper to a fitter in a fab shop. Bob had many hard and fast rules and one of them was to never use the floating hook on a tape measure. He insisted on holding 1 inch on short measurements and holding 1 foot on long measurements.

I have the SQ TC5/DC5 pair. Following 6 years of moderate use I had to have the fill pump replaced on the washer. Cost was about $160. Only issue so far outside the belts on the dryer took a while to wear in. They left an odor for a while following use. No longer a problem.
