You put NOLA 109 vs Chicago 107. A 109 defensive rating is higher than a 107.

Am I missing something? 109 >>>>> 107

So Monty brought out the defensive qualities of Belinelli while Pop helped his offensive game.

Just turn on your TV. Monty's development of Belinelli on full display right now.

Sorry, a team starting Brian Roberts and Alexis Ajinca will not be one of the better teams in the league no matter who is coaching.

If Aminu can fix his shot, he can be one of the better SFs in the league IMO.

Aminu, best rebounding SF.

You know Aminu? The one you claim is the best rebounding SF in the nba in one breath. And in the next breath, part of a shitty lineup that no coach could do anything with?

Aminu can be the best rebounding SF and the lineup still suck arse. Do you think the current lineup is good?

Would you agree that it was a bad coaching decision not to put Evans in the starting lineup until after about 30 or so games after Jrue and Ryno went down?

No, Evans has shown to be very one-deminsional.

Yes, because the players he has been working with are not very good.

I do not agree but KG thinks to think all the bad players we have signed and drafted is Monty's fault.

I have been told that Monty has a huge say in the signing and drafting of our bad players. Can the same not be said for the good?

re: Don't Fire Monty!!!

I said Monty should stay because we have talent and it isn't his fault because of injury. TRUE

The years before Dell gave Monty crap. TRUE

Monty has developed players and helped them reach their ceiling. TRUE. Is he a miracle worker that can develop Aminu into an all-star? No, of course not.

If Monty developed is a great talent developer with Aminu, Jason Smith, Vasquez, Lopez, Rivers, etc, why are we still in the position for the lottery 3 years straight?

Dell has not surrounded them with enough talent and the one year he did everyone got injured,

re: Don't Fire Monty!!!

Posted by WindSurfer on 3/6/14 at 7:26 pm to
Let me get this straight, every bad player we acquire is Monty's fault. Every good player, credit Demps! Also, in the conversation for who to get with the 10th, lamb was hardly ever mentioned. We have no idea if Monty is a good coach because of injuries and the crap rosters he has been given.

re: Don't Fire Monty!!!

Posted by WindSurfer on 3/6/14 at 6:27 pm to
You act like Lamb is an all star, he is not. Just like Rivers, he is a bench player. I am not too bummed out about missing out on him.

re: Don't Fire Monty!!!

Posted by WindSurfer on 3/6/14 at 5:57 pm to
You probably weren't even considering picking Lamb at 10. Hindsight GMs are the best.

Rivers is 6.5 points in 19 minutes on 39% shooting 10.56 per. I fail to see the huge gap in which you are talking about.

re: Don't Fire Monty!!!

So let's just pretend for a second that Monty was the person who picked Rivers. What do the armchair hindsight GMs suggest we should have done?

re: Don't Fire Monty!!!

Posted by WindSurfer on 3/6/14 at 4:12 pm to
So now we are comparing Monty with a worse team to one of the best coaches in the NBA. Quite ridiculous.

There is no need to deviate from your central argument and blame Demps for Monty's failures this season

So two quotes. One that was in response to a time Vasquez was on the team and another when I was talking about the entire tenure of Monty leads you to the conclusion that I was talking solely about this season. It is a picture perfect example of taking someone's words out of context.

re: Don't Fire Monty!!!

Posted by WindSurfer on 3/6/14 at 3:55 pm to
The two quotes you took out of context was in response to why Smith and Vasquez were playing more minutes than they should. Because Demps did not give Monty better options. And as to why the team has not improved over Montys tenure. Demps and injuries. So yes, you did take my words out of context. I never once implied the current roster when healthy sucked.

They are completely in context, you just don't like how your arguments have spun out of control on you. You can't say Demps assembled a near championship roster in the OP and then throw him under the bus later because it's a convenient way for you to defend Monty. Your argument is that Demps built a good team and the injuries have robbed Monty of the opportunity to show us what a great coach he is. There is no need to deviate from your central argument and blame Demps for Monty's failures this season.

You did take my words out of context. In referring to the crap players, I was talking about previous seasons. I do put that blame on Demps. And as for this season, Monty is working with crap players because of injuries. When people say we have not improved or look at this players he sucks!!!! That is either due to injuries or Demps acquired the shitty player. Not Monty's fault.

So is the roster full of shite players, or is it a solid center away from competing with OKC?

Way to take my words out of context. The current roster when HEALTHY with a legit center can compete with OKC. Monty has coached very little with the healthy roster. He has mostly played with shite players the past years.

Not his fault. Demps has given Monty shite players and Monty has done the best he can do with them.

Rivers - 1st year averaged 6.2ppg, 1.8rebs, and 2 assists. This year hes averaging 6.5ppg, 1.4rebs, and 1.6 assists. Yeah hes really improved.... And this is the guy Monty had to have with the 10th overall pick.

Actually, the GM makes picks. That one is one your beloved Demps.
