I hope this restaurant does well, but I really don’t think it will unfortunately. There is something kind of adventurous and nostalgic about going to the original Middendorf’s at its original location. You won’t have any of that at the new location.

I find that hard to believe. Must be a small fan group. If true, I would expect restaurants would offer cold boiled crawfish.
This is almost a good point, but not quite. One reason restaurants don’t serve cold crawfish is because customers wouldn’t know if they are fresh, which is no good.
I agree with the other posters that cold crawfish are as good as hot. Really though they are just different, and good in their own way. Maybe not 100% as good as hot, but like 98% as good as hot.
The fact that they are just different though is actually a plus. It means you’re not having the same meal two days in a row. So in the end, cold crawfish are damn good.
This makes the very faulty assumption that the company actually cares about having someone to blame. The company doesn’t care about having someone to blame, They only care about the results that come from the screwup. And in your scenario, the results that come from the screwup are the exactly the same regardless of whether you’re talking about AI or humans that make the screwup.
Can you please elaborate on what you did?
I have to ask - why would they pay you to leave? If you are providing any value to the company at all, why on earth would they pay you even $1 to leave? If you are valuable, they would pay you to stay, not to leave.

There are a number of mutual funds that seem to offer exposure to private shares purchased in the secondary market. The question is - why would you want to?
I'm not sure I understand your question. I want to because I think the value of those stocks will go up. Why wouldn't I want to?

Its almost always going to get stepped on between brokers unless you have a direct connection.
What does this mean?

Much easier solution- Any accredited investor can buy both at Forge
But Forge is a secondary market, correct? So how does this differ from what you said above?
Because the alternative is that China wins the AI race and we all speak Chinese. That’s if we’re incredibly lucky that is.
It’s more likely that if China wins the AI race, they just decide to dispose of all of the none Chinese people.
Those are the choices. It’s not Sam Altman or Elon Musk versus us. It’s us versus China. No matter how much you want to stop this in the United States, China, as well as many other countries, will keep going. It’s happening. The only question is whether the United States wins or another country like China wins.
So why again are you so hell bent on stopping the U.S. development of AI?

re: Rumor has it that Publix grocery is coming to the Harveston development

Any truth to this?
Any updates on this? There is obviously some fairly heavy construction activity going on out there now. I'm far from an expert, but it looks like they may be putting in sewer pipes/systems and other infrastructure.
New construction activity at commercial part of Harveston?
Posted by Gauge on 9/16/25 at 6:05 am
As of the last few days, there appears to be some potential construction activity at the proposed commercial area of the Harveston development on Bluebonnet. Anyone know what's going on? Are they finally starting the actual construction, or is this just something else?
How can I invest in OpenAI and/or xAI?

As I understand it, neither OpenAI nor xAI are publicly traded companies. How can I invest in them?
Letting pharmaceutical companies advertise is critical to informing the public of what drugs are available that might be a help to them. Socialist countries do not let pharmaceutical companies advertise because socialist countries pay for the public healthcare, and they do not want to public asking for medicines that the government does not deam that they should have. Letting pharmaceutical companies adverse is critical to letting people know about the drugs that are available that might be of help them.

It's pretty useless to get mattress recs from people, I've finally figured out. For every person who says a mattress is too firm, the next person complains the mattress is too soft. You get people shitting on the most expensive, luxurious mattresses out there while others champion some of the cheapest bed-in-a-box products. Mattresses are one of the most subjective purchases out there.
This 100%. For this reason, don't even bother reading mattress reviews. A mattress that is pure bliss for one person, is absolute torture for the next.

I don’t know, but I have been wondering where they got them as well. I went to Jim’s Stone and Woerner Turf, and they didn’t provide them and didn’t know where Costco got them.
Yep, no AT&T cellular service for me in Baton Rouge. It went out at roughly 11:25 a.m. today.

Are you allowed to eat potassium chloride? It contains no sodium, and tastes almost identical to salt.

re: Deal to replace PMAC arena could require LSU land, new tax. Public can't see the details.

I'm pretty sure this is a map of an already existing LSU economic development district, and not a map of the new economic development district that in the future will be created for the new arena. In other words, this LSU economic development district map that KamaCausey_LSU posted has absolutely zero to do with the new arena.
I hope it is Zoysia, but a couple of things have made me think it might be St. Augustine.
Sorry, had a little trouble posting the pictures. You should see them now though.
