re: Ack

There should never be a predetermined pitch count. You should have an idea, but nothing set in stone. I absolutely hate that call. Ack was f’in dealing
Dude he just won the natty last year with possibly the greatest team of all time. But I'm sure you're one of those.... it was all brady and aranda guys. Pump the freaking brakes.
He's going to bend the knee with his fellow African teammates. His grandfathers will be turning over in their graves. It's going to make me sick.
Didn't want to burn Zion out? I didn't know a world class athlete playing 5 more minutes was considered burning him out.

You could feel our momentum from China, and then.....you couldn't. Merry Christmas Spurs! What a gift!
Couldn't disagree more.

The second JJ took out Patterson and put in Gray is when the NC State run began. He tried to force a layup, got blocked and they came down and hit a three (5 point swing). I actually like Gray more than most because when he's finishing in the paint is when this team is at their best. However, at times, he tries to do too much instead of letting the game come to him.

Huh? Were we listening to the same show? They actually made it a point to say the only thing they would change about the top 5 was put LSU in and take Florida out. They both agreed that LSU needs to be in the top 5. I'm amazed at how wrong you are about what they said.

re: Hub Club?

Yes its awesome. Free draft beer and wine. Food is incredible. View is good not great. If I was going to purchase season tickets, they would be in the hub club. The booze I will drink and the food i will eat will be well worth the $.
St. Bernard on the map and they don't play
Copenhagen wintergreen pouches. Tried long cut for years. I'd rather the pouches bc they dont get all in your teeth and they are actually pretty juicy if you throw in 4 at a time.
The trade might be over and I hate to be negative but the fact is...this trade will haunt us for years to come. We overvalued Jrue bc of his age and his all star appearance. Im not hating on Jrue at all. I think he is a good NBA point guard. Just wasn't worth giving up Noel (a gift at #6)and this years 1st round pick.

the team gave up a #6 (Nerlens Noel) and #10 (Dario Saric?) for his services.

Why does no one seem to realize that we would have had (more likely than not) a higher draft pick than #10?

Without Holiday we would have been worse off because Noel didn't play a game. You can't just assume we would have gotten a FA like millsap.

a team that requires an ace 3-point shooter at lead guard isn't likely to value Kyle Lowry as highly as Jrue Holiday. It's all relative.

This makes no sense. Lowry drains 3's.
We give zero f's about draft picks. Asik = overrated and overpaid (not to mention injury prone)

Why can we not make a single move that I like?

I don't think he is terrible but Monty's had his chances. WE HAVE FINISHED LAST IN OUR DIVISION THE PAST 3 YEARS. I don't think he is a great developer of talent. Certain coaches maximize their player's potential (Pop, Thibodeaux, Doc) and he's not one of them. Player's leave here and have bigger impacts for their new teams than they did when they were here (Ariza, Thorton, Collison, Belinelli, Lopez). I wouldn't fire him yet, but he gets one more year in my opinion.

I think the real problem in NOLA is DELL DEMPS!

3. Parker
4. Westbrook
5. Wall

7. Jrue

Every one above Jrue is their team franchise player other than Westbrook.

You have him at 7th. You have clearly faded your mind with too much hippie lettuce.

Dragic (saying he's just a sg is dumb - if westbrook and curry are pg, then so is dragic)
Lowry

Conley
Bledsoe

All better than jrue

None of this is overly surprising, especially considering that the talent level that’s likely to be there at six through 14 isn’t nearly that of the top of the draft board,

I think a lot of guys like Stauskas, James Young, Gary Harris, Rodney Hood will surprise some people.
1. build a time machine
2. go back in time to last year's draft
3. keep noel
4. noel and davis are best front court in NBA for years
5. draft a PG this year with our 1st round pick (exum or smart)

CHAMPIONSHIP

I have no watched enough Rockets games to know about his defense

All you have to watch is the last play vs Portland when Lillard burned him for the knockout 3 ball.
My baby done graduated and I is so proud of her.

Holiday is not a "below average" point guard.

In comparison with the other starting point guards he's average at best (IMO a little below average).

1. C. Paul
2. T. Parker
3. S. Curry
4. R. Westbrook
5. D. Lillard
6. J. Wall
7. K. Irving
8. D. Rose (when healthy-JH not healthy so fair)
9. R. Rondo
10. D. Williams
11. G. Dragic
12. J. Teague
13. E. Bledsoe
14. K. Walker
15. M. Conley
16. K. Lowry (some would consider him a 2)
17. M. Ellis
18. T. Lawson
19. R. Rubio
20. B. Jennings
21. B. Knight
22. MCW(prob not yet, but the potential is there)

I'd say he's between 16-20. That's below the average. You CANNOT argue he is top 12.

I'm so tired of hearing this.

The NBA's top 20 PGs consist of 16 Western, 4 Eastern.

Jrue is average at best out here, sorry guys

About time somebody gets it!

I can't understand why he is thought so highly of. He's a VERY good point guard, but so are about 15-20 other guys out there.

Thank you. Couldn't agree more.
quote:

12. J. Teague(Tossup but I'd rather jrue)

You have lost your mind.

quote:

11. G. Dragic(jrue is a better defender but they're close)

Maybe it was close before the past year, but Dragic took the next step. He's better.

quote:

19. R. Rubio(lol NO)

Why lol? Jrue might be a better scorer but rubio averages more assists, rebounds, and most importantly...LESS TURNOVERS. Oh, and they are the same age.

quote:

9. R. Rondo(Jrue is a better scorer)

Yes, but Rondo is better.

quote:

14. K. Walker(took a step back)

I guess going to the playoffs is a step back? Finally gave him someone to play with (AJ) and they make the playoffs. I know its the east, but step back??
My last words on this topic:

IMO the Pelicans would have been Better off without the jrue trade. That is it. Yall just assume we would have gotten a FA like millsap. IMO If we didnt make the trade we would have been a lot worse and gotten a top 5 pick which could have changed the course of our franchise. l wouldn't have traded what we did for Westbrook and he's way better than jrue. And yall keep saying... hes a good defender. Hahaha that's just funny. And the top point guards like lillard aren't?? Thats just crazy. We screwed up.
