re: Any updates on Corey Thompson?
Posted by BENGALJAG on 1/19/15 at 4:01 pm to jaguar fan
Corey is my friend's roommate. My friend (DB that just graduated) said Corey was being given a red shirt for 2014 and is back near 100%. He thinks Corey will challenge Mills for the starting role in 2015 and more than likely start. We shall see......

Hunter is gone. Just text'd my source (player/friend) and he said he is 100% going to the NFL. I wish he'd have come back.

I text'd my friend who plays on the team when I first heard the rumblings of Hunter leaving saying "heard Hunter is leaving. We'll miss him". He replied back and said "yeah, he's at my apartment now". I replied back and asked if he was for sure going to leave and he said "yeah, he's going pro"
I think we'll be ok at DE though. Bower, Teuhema Neal, Clark and maybe move Herron back to DE. Not sure about MJ Patterson. The Washington kid coming in has some nice size as well.

I agree it was great news! And he told me this before we engaged in patron shots in a pre-graduation celebration!!
Last night my friend/LSU DB (graduates today) came over. We talked about how the corners would look next year with J. Collins leaving for the NFL. The first name that always comes out of his mouth when I ask about the young guys is Russell Gage. He says Gage is really good. Also speaks very well of Ed Paris. He also said there is a good chance Robinson will be back on the team.

My source on the team says Brumfield is going to be really good. Also said Clapp is developing nicely and Malone is really tough.
For the 2012 Bama game, I left home at 12pm (I live about 20 miles from campus) and had to park on Burbank about 2 miles from the stadium. I'd look into the shuttle services for sure.

He told me Gage is going to be really good. Very athletic and instinctive. My friend was on the 2011 team so he's seen/played with the best and I trust his opinion.

My friend (LSU DB) always mentions Russell Gage when I ask about the future of the DBs. He talks good about Ed Paris too. "the future of LSU is in very good hands" to quote him directly. He of course speaks highly of J Adams, saying he goes 100% on every play in practice and games.
On a side note, when he came over last Thursday to watch some NFL football, he told me "we're going to win Saturday. We're going to run it down their throats".....boy was he right!

My source told me Q Thomas was not making the trip. That was last night around 8pm when we talked. Not sure on Neighbors.
I was talking to my source (player/friend) last night about early departures. He thinks Mills stays. If J Collins has a strong year he's prob gone. Doesn't think any of the o-line juniors leave (mentioned V Alexander as being kind of soft). Dural he said would be back too. We didn't talk about Hunter.
I spoke with Kwon's mom before the Sam Houston game and she said it all depends on how this year goes (super nice people).

I was told by a player that Miles doesn't like anything other than our traditional uniforms. That's why they stopped doing the Nike combat uniform games. He said Miles wants people see and recognize the "LSU Brand" when they are on television. Personally I loved the 2011 all white uniforms.
A friend of mines dad played with Cannon in high school. He told me in practice one day that he went in too high for a tackle and Cannon's helmet hit him square in the testicles, sending one of them back up into his body......that hurts just thinking about it.

Bama 2012 (atmosphere was electric)
Georgia 2003 (intensity was unreal)
Arkansas 2007 (outcome sucked, but it was rockn')

He (my friend on the team) just text me back on Trey Lealamatafao. He said "he's ok". I might be having dinner with him and another DB on the team next week so I'll try to find out more.
I have a friend who plays DB for LSU and he said the exact same things about Valentine. Overweight but no one can move him. Very strong.
This is my first post here so TIFWIW. My friend gives me some info, but as a team they keep a lot inside the walls.
