Depends on the rules. Some of the NCAA powers in the very early days of football would have mauled current teams for a quarter before the entire team was thrown out of the game. So, you'd win but half your team would be in the hospital for the next few weeks.
Playing a 70s NFL team with 70s rules would be a bloodbath for the college kids. Yes, bigger, stronger, faster, but by the time the modern players adapted to what you could do back then the game would be over. You'd be explaining that yes, dive for their knees to your O-line while Ernie Ladd was sodomizing your QB and eating one of his fingers.

You move past the two very young talents and... ouch. Whether her system works or not we will see but this is going to be a bloodbath of a year.

1917 - The Zimmermann Telegram is sent from Germany to Mexico promising Texas, Arizona and New Mexico be given to Mexico in exchange for joining the Axis with Germany if the US enters WWI on the Allied side.
One of the all time great WTF moments (Hitler would pull an ever better one off in WWII) in history. The Mexican response can best be summed up as "are you high?"
Mexico knew it couldn't win a war vs the United States and was, at the time, fighting a serious civil war. Also Germany basically offered a pinky swear. Mexico hated us, for, well, good reasons, but the government realized this would be a complete disaster.
Today... Mexico could go nuclear in a matter of months and start churning out a modern military in a year. A Ukrainian style drown swarm they could probably get going in a month. Even more than Canada they are the hidden power of North America.

She has two future WNBA talents. Unfortunately the ladies don't have much to back that up. Next year, if we can keep people, I expect we will be a lot more scary.
Dude, the elite teams moving forward are the ones that land a big whale to finance the program. That can change year to year.
The one rich person in Mississippi could get a wild hare up his behind to see State finally win a natty and splurge. At which point the Georgia Bulldogs become the pup team.
Or Vandy could fully weaponize their graduates and buy themselves a team that would make 1945 Army seem puny.
We're used to functioning with a black market when it came to recruits, well, now we've got the full open market with zero stipulations in place. The one thing we can expect is that we won't know what to expect.

Well Washington county is fantastic. Okay.
It's still good but once Bottom's Up was bulldozed it declined.
That having been having been said, you go from the reasonably flat plateau to the hills of Fayetteville. Which can take some getting used to.
Family wise. Well. NW Arkansas is where I'd prefer to be when it happens. My dad died in Marion, AR (closer to Memphis than most of Memphis) and nobody showed up to his funeral because, despite living there for 30 years he was an outsider. You don't get that in NW Arkansas.

dang man ,I'm sorry. I hope you are better. I haven't worked for a year because I've been taking care of my little brother having a hear attack.
I've been a caregiver, first for my dad, and then my mom, for a decade now. My retirement plans are pretty much down to find a comfortable cardboard box.. but you do what you have to do to take care of family.

I'd need to see someone next to him, 1Big is evidently a big ole b@stard and that could be a snazzy dressed New Orleans midget there.

Wait, you weren't here? I got to start paying attention to the boards I'm on.

... How in the hell did we get a D? Arkansas was the worst team in the conference. We lost to most of the teams that got an F.
re: Apparently Indiana has 4 pick 6s on opponents' opening drive. Film study or cheating?

Damn folks. We are starting to get to pathetic levels of desperation to avoid having to say this is a really good Indiana team.
Yes, teams tend to have certain plays they script for the opening drive. As someone mentioned, easy to complete throws to the flat are quite popular. The danger with a throw to the flat, or a screen play, is that any INT is heading to the endzone unless the CB trips.
Why Petrino was so dangerous as an OC is that he varied up his script to start a game. But an OC that has some real tendencies on opening drives and doesn't get away from them, those guys you can set a trap for.
The problem isn't that Indiana is cheating (that I know of), its that OCs have gotten predictable scripting out their first drives. As the old pro wrestling announcers (back when wrestling didn't stink on ice) were fond of saying... "Went to the well once too often."

I doubt it will be us. Not unless a Walton or Tyson just gets a wild hare up their butt.
Not to mention the Waltons have turned a cold shoulder to the University after the BOT refused their choice for Chancellor. Oh they still put money in of course, certain degrees at the U of A are a great pipeline for Walmart, but I don't see one of them becoming the white knight that gallops in to save us.

Hopefully we can sustain that and build consistency.... we shall see but on paper the improvement is obvious.
It couldn't be much worse than last year.
I suspect we will enjoy a mild upswing. Which is super important for this area. A lot of places have boosters who will donate no matter what. Big money in NW Arkansas expects to see results for their money and they won't pour money into a loser... unless they are planning to take it over.
Lingerie stores carry it. That is also where they tend to buy their stage outfits and shoes.
Strippers who don't use body glitter loathe it. It gets on everything and everywhere. A lot of smaller clubs have informal no glitter rules because it is such a pain to clean up.

Next year is gonna be rough period though with 9 conference games
Wait until Bama has a proper rebuilding season and realizes "Oh sh*t, winning 6 games this year might take an act of God."
With the talent they have Kentucky should not be getting the results they are getting. I'm not going to knock them because I've seen that happen to us in the past.

With the talent y'all have this has to be utter misery for Kentucky. Not saying that to knock you guys, just that we've been there in the past and had that happen.
There is a big difference between "Welp, we suck but I didn't expect much" and "How the f*ck did we squander this?"

He isn't great but being at Alabama will cover that up for a while.
Until it doesn't.
Until it doesn't.
I am not sold on the Miami offense. I think their defense is solid but Ole Miss is going to score. The question is can Ole Miss hang in there during a slug fest?
That having been said, that was Lane Kiffin Ole Miss. Not sure how Pete Golding Ole Miss does. They have more tenacity it would seem.
I'd give the edge to Miami but Ole Miss has that first round knockout power. They can put up a ton of points in a short period of time and leave you stunned thinking "how did they do that?"

Galileo Galilei discovers the first three moons of Jupiter: Io, Europa & Ganymede
It is wide spread historical knowledge that he was under house arrest in his old age for heliocentrism, the theory that the Earth revolves around the Sun. The truth is... a bit more complicated.
Yes, heliocentrism was a wee bit controversial. However, among the educated elite of the Catholic Church it was also pretty well accepted as truth. The problem was that in 1610 most of the population was so poorly educated that... well... they'd be mistaken for US citizens today. So the Church, which funded a great deal of Gal's research, was fine with his discoveries, they just didn't want him making a fuss about it.
There was only one issue with this. Galileo was vastly more talented at being a complete a-hole than a scientist. His writings pointed the finger directly at the Pope for any problems he was having and, well, Galileo was not shy about aligning with political interests opposed to the Catholic Church. In Italy. In 1610.
Almost everything Galileo gets credit for had already been observed by other astronomers so he's in the position of being a martyr for science despite being more the wrong guy in the right place to get attention.
