re: Advice on alligators
Posted by LSUmichael on 5/31/11 at 2:27 pm to Tchefuncte Tiger
How big was the gator?
I didn't get a good look at it. If I had to guess, I'd say it was around six feet.
I don't have any pets or kids, so I'm ok there. I will tell my neighbors about it though.
Thanks for the advice everyone.

Advice on alligators
Posted by LSUmichael on 5/30/11 at 10:59 pm
I live next to a bayou and have seen alligators lately. One almost gave me a heart attack today. It was sitting on the bank, then jumped into the water as I got closer. Since I'm new to being so close to alligators, I was wondering if this is normal behavior. Any tips on how to avoid such encounters would be appreciated.

I went today. I didn't realize you had to pay to park AND pay to get in. Then if you want anything to eat or drink, you get to pay for that too. I was surprised at how many people were there...most of them with family.

I'm wondering mostly about the northern part.
Anyone ever fish Bayou Lafourche?

If so, what are the best spots?

LSU seems to be really strict about who they let on the sidelines during the game. I'm always amazed when I see other colleges with tons of people standing around. Did anyone see how many people were just standing there in the Oregon State-USC game last night?

Those plays were amazing. I hope there's more of the same this season.

Anyone find any photos of Reggie hurdling the defender and Marques' one-hand catch. The official Saints site had a good one, but I was wondering if anyone found any others out there.
