The original Georgia charter outlawed lawyers, slaves, and gambling. If we would have only stuck with it we would be sooooooo much better off today.

Think I'm done with it boys.

Just have no interest in CFB anymore. My interest was on life support prior to the season due to the portal and NIL. Two years of losing in the first round has sealed it for me. I simply can't muster any enthusiasm for it anymore. For those of you who can and do, more power to you. It just ain't in me. Forever grateful for living to see the 21, 22 season.

So it’s not talent, physical traits, coaching, or scheme: just age. Wonder why no one has thought of this before. Who knew the secret all this time was just recruit older players. So simple a caveman could do it.

This is what CFB has become.

Nobody is keeping any other coach from doing the same including Kirby. Adapt or perish. It’s that simple. BUT Cignetti is elite.
If it’s not the players it’s the coaching. They are a well coached team. Watching them execute I don’t understand how anyone can deny that.

Whatever excuse you like. They are playing in the NC. We’re not. There’s a reason and lessons to be learned …..or you can just bury your head in the sand and when you pull it out you find you’ve morphed into Dabo Sweeney.

Just heard announcers say Cignetti had 8 four and five starts on this team. EIGHT. That should show everyone the coaching disparity that exists between IU and the rest of the field. The offense play calling is Monkenesque.
Yet only one team/coach is “doing it” which contradicts your presumption. Everyone CAN’T do it. It takes unbelievable prep, planning, and a little bit of catching lightening in a bottle. Cignetti may be the best coach in America, but those unicorns are few and far between.

11 years for me. It's all the rage among those who can't think for themselves: just slap a denigrating label on someone if you don't like their opinion. It's the path of intellectual laziness and smaller minds have never existed.

I don't fault Cash for a thing and wish him the very best in wherever life takes him. And you are correct. It wasn't his fault.

Hey Chris!!! Topher your corny opinions back to your own board. They are as out of place here as humus at a pig picking.
Pretty sure you could make that argument for any position and it be just as valid. That said, there are still good athletes that want to play for teams they have loved since their childhood and the $$$ isn't weighted as heavily in their list of priorities.

Alters are for people who need to multiply their opinion/voice. Never saw the point. I could care less if everyone disagrees with me or agrees with me. I don't need either to feel validated. Those who do are intellectual paraplegics and emotional cripples.

Cash obviously has speed but also must be much better at catching the ball and pass pro than the other guys.

There's not a soul on the face of the earth that will ever convince me Cash was a better option than Dillon Bell on any down he ever played. Dillon is bigger, faster, taller, more powerful, and a better receiver before and after the catch which makes CJ's presence completely bewildering to me.

Kirby is playing the middle of Dabo and Cignetti.

Shades more towards Dabo but should be shading towards Cignetti.

Bingo.
he would toss Bobo out on his head and offer the checkbook to Monken on bended knee. A universally accepted truism in business is you don’t hire friends or family. You absolutely must be able to remain emotionally detached from business decisions for any hope of longevity and productivity. IMHO Kirby’s broken this rule to perhaps his own detriment. What made Saban Saban was his strict adherence to excellence damn the cost or who got their feeling hurt. I can’t see him ever hiring his BFF, but I can certainly see him firing him if the product standard dipped one millimeter. People are their own worst enemy and Kirby is not exempt from that either.

Maybe we can recruit another just like him for 3rd downs next year. Doubtful, given unicorns like that difficult to find. Or maybe he will forego the draft and petition the NCAA for another year. Bobo wouldn’t have to change a thing…..not that he ever does. Well I retract that. I was wrong. He does adjust from his 3 plays that don’t work to his 3 that do and it usually only takes him about 3 series to do so. Once the new 3 are stopped it’s back to the original 3 that didn’t. He’s flexible like that.
