re: Is Dottery the new Star position?

I wonder what the prototype for the star position is

In my mind it's a Matthieu or polamalu type (those are the freaks)

Strong enough in to stop the run game, fast enough to blitz, and good in coverage to not be exposed in man coverage

Who on the current roster checks the boxes best?

I wonder if Spears is also a potential if Delane is better in the traditional spot

Baker is going to have a blast moving the pieces around out there

Is Dottery the new Star position?

Our blitzing potential, turnover potential, and star power on defense is absolute O-Coordinator nightmare fuel

Is the only storyline that this season will be remembered by.

You will remember who Indiana beat on their way to the top: Their Rose Bowl win, The Peach Bowl win, and the title game

But no one remembers the team that came in 3rd or 4th

Cignetti has stolen the show

If we have learned anything from this off-season QB cycle it is that this is far from over

"One of their own"

What are you talking about? I don't go to Ole miss or bama...

When did the competition become my friend? The SEC "love" is as phony as it comes

Tell me you cheered for cam Newton or Joe burrow

The whole premise of your original post was "not supporting one of your own" as you attempt (poorly) to make fun of LSU

It's a tough look for bama fans to be championing Ole Miss

Sad to see what Indiana has done to the program

re: 12 team Playoff

Miami was the 10 seed and Ole miss was the 6 seed. I agree lose the group of 5 teams, but these 2 teams wouldn't have been in the playoffs

12 team Playoff

This game makes a STRONG argument for 12 teams. These teams with that effort look like they could have beaten anyone.

Great game
So they collected their full salary for the year I guess, even though the contract finished and their employment participation seems to be up to them?
Prayers that Miami runs the ball into oblivion and wins the game with total clock control and O/D-Line dominance
I know it's been in flux week to week on whether they will go back for the next game. How does the money work? Are we the only ones paying them? Just curious
Miami is nothing but a bunch of fake fair weather fans. They don't even have a stadium

Tulane, ULL, Nicholls, mcneese...they all have stadiums

They should get a stadium and real fans
When the final 4 is a group of hodgepodge teams, tv viewership trends down. Same with MLB playoffs and NBA finals.

But the Super Bowl stays standing regardless

I think the CFP with these 4 teams will be as good as ever as far as outsider fan interest is concerned

The NIL/portal era has basketball "1 and done" vibes. The lack of team/fan cohesion in basketball damages the game.

Football feels like it's cracking with the portal money hunt, but it's still hanging on currently.

Football seems to have weathered the CTE storm (don't hear anyone talk about it much anymore). I also feel like targeting calls are way down in the playoffs too (I saw a few no calls in yesterday's games and I was surprised the UGA one got called)

Is football in America just invincible? I hope so

Sugar Bowl felt like the title game

The quick turnaround for Miami would be a tough challenge for any team.

IMO no other team in the 2026 CFP has the over the top victory vibes like Ole Miss currently has. They feel like the weight of the world is off of their shoulders.

The Thursday game in Arizona is going to come fast. Going to be a huge challenge for Golding and the rebs

What an Incredible CFP game

Truly incredible stuff from both teams. Absolute heavyweight fight

We can all agree the ending of the 1 second was stupid

But that was the most entertaining game I've seen in a long while

I like the logo (although I'm sure it can be tweaked) and the phrase

Is this when you shop Zion?

Things going well and he's playing well

Sell high is the move unless we think we are riding with him

I think the injury is coming because it always has but 6th man Zion has worked really well

Thoughts?

Zion at the line was big tonight

He still sucks though, one game doesn't undo what we have seen

But I'll take it

Don't throw rocks at me

We are alive and well for the play-in game race.

I like our team too. We aren't good enough for anything serious, but we can definitely come out of the cellar and make some noise
