I was in the Big 4 for about 5 years, split time between audit and advisory. I now have been in an industry for about a year.
It is true that industry is repetitive and boring, but you get a lot more time to do other things besides just accounting and audit. Switching over has allowed me to spend more time with my family and start a side gig in real estate.
I would never have the time to do this in the big 4. I have more time to spend with my family, plus I make some additional income from real estate.

I don't understand why SS is getting a lot of heat about this question.
I really don't get celebrating that time period either.
I'm from Japanese descent, and we don't even come close to celebrating, or recreating our culture during WWII. If anything, this time period is looked back with shame and humility.
